A street kid. She has the mutant power to throw webs, but not like Spider-Man.
She can't swing on them, and she usually uses them to stick to wallets and
neglected packages that she then swipes and fences. She can "knit" them into
knifes as sharp as real metal but flexible enough to never break.
Her mother died at birth and Cobweb grew up on the streets with her father. He
just froze to death in the alley that had been their home. Cobweb doesn't mourn
him. At least this way, he can't touch her anymore.
She has just blundered into the middle of this whole mess, and has thrown her
cards in with the first group she saw.
If this doesn't work out, she'll try the other side.
She's not picky.
Recently, Cobweb acquired a symbiote costume,
which was spawned by Carnage.
Appearance: When she is in that form, she is sleek, pale silver; the color of
her namesake. Her eyes are black, as well.
Powers: Carnage was stronger than Venom because he was cut and toned for being
so skinny, plus had what Spider-Man called "manical might", which basically says
that he's very strong because he's nuts. Since Gina wasn't as buff or as crazy
as Cletus was, she is not quite as strong (Carnage is in the 55-60 ton strength
class).
Cobweb's strength, with the symbiote is between the 10-35 ton class, making her
stronger than Spider-Man. Her speed is above peak-human and at the level of
Spider-Man, meaning that she can run at 100-120 mph. She can blend in with the
surroundings and block detection from the "Spider-Sense". The costume makes her
more difficult to probe and control than others. She can also climb up sheer
walls, and her agility is superhuman, due to her weight and size.
She can morph her symbiote into solid weapons, like a sword on her arm or
razored tendrils, but this will take some practice before being mastered.
She is very durable, as bullets will pop from her chest. She has a speedy
healing factor, and really cannot be KO'd physically (although, she still feels
the pain of attacks). Pain tolerance is a major factor of symbiote durabilty.
Venom is the oldest, so he can take the most of a beating, as well as more sound
and fire damage than Carnage, who can take a beating but cannot handle his "weaknesses"
well. Being new, with a young symbiote, Cobweb may not be as "indestructable"
yet.
Her physical weaknesses are high frequency sound vibrations and fire. Contact
with either of these two will cause her and the symbiote intense pain.
For information purposes:
Cobweb will still mostly use her web weapons, swords and knives, using the
stronger webs from the symbiote to knit them into razor sharpness. As of now,
she is still in control of the symbiote
She would also after a bit of practice be able to make tendrils like Venom and
Carnage can, Though like the making of organic weapons it would take her a bit
of practice to master the art of making a tendril and then alot more practice
using them, Especially learning to use more then one tendril at once.
It's amazing what you think about late at night
when you can't sleep. Basically, I made Cobweb too strong in my update, so I
editted it a tad. Basically, you have to think of the symbiote's strength as
magnifying your own. For example, the spider-bite magnified the strength of a
90-something pound nerd and made him able to lift 10 tons. Venom came out 5
times stronger because he had been an Olympic level weight-lifter when he got
that suit. Carnage's suit came from Venom, but like I said before, Kasady was
toned for a skinny man and very insane.
Cobweb's a tiny girl (under 5 feet tall and under 90 lbs), so she'd be many
times stronger than Spider-Man, since it is Carny's suit, but wouldn't be as
strong as Brock or Kasady. I forgot how tiny she was yesterday. Now, if she
worked out...
So, Cobby is pretty firmly in the Resistence
now and she is growing very close to Venom, looking to him almost as a Surrogate
daddy.
She is beginning to feel the psychosis that the symbiotes either cause or
enhance, but she is fighting it. She geniunely wants to do the right thing here,
but she is growing increasingly afraid that she is going to lose herself.
After a head injury administered by Quicksilver,
and a symbiote rage, Gina saw Neo-Doom seemingly kill Venom. The shock of his "death"
coupled with her own pain caused traumatic amnesia and Neo-Doom took the
opportunity to take her back to the mansion. She has NO memory of anything
happening before she woke up in kristoff's bed.
In the two years since the last time we saw her,
Gina has become a slightly askew seventeen year old. Fully bonded with her
symbiote other, she is at her full strength now and is quite proficient with its
powers. But she has over these past years slowly begun to lose her sense of self,
and is very rarely seen out of full "costume"
Is she a supporter of this new world order or not? Only time will tell.
Gina was spirited away fifty years into the
future. Only time will tell how she reacts.... And well she didn't. In the
Future Gina got closer to Havok, but also lost the love of her life.
Now she finds herself back in the present.
