I can hear the feet of the Britsh walking in,
but I can't hear their whispers when they meet.

I see head stones as they fill the grave yards in my sight,
but I can't see who killed them that night.

I can smell the salty sea where the ships drift away,
but I can't smell the gun powder that I'll see the next day.

I can touch my horse while it takes a little break,
but I can touch my bones that ache and ache and ache.

Thank you for taking the time to read my poetry.  Each Jewel has a special meaning to me, and have grown on a great many fans.  For you, a favorite quote: "In all thy getting, get an understanding."
