Crown Jewels of Poetic Life
When we two parted
there was silence and tears.
Alone and broken hearted,
severed thruout the years.

The dew from the morning
sank chill on my brow,
and served as the warning
of what I feel now.

Cold grew your shoulder
and even colder your kiss.
Warm nights were suddenly over,
warm nights are surely missed.

They name you before me,
and a shudder comes over my ear.
How wert thou so lovely,
oh, why wert thou so dear?

If I should meet you
after silence and long years,
how would I greet you
except in silence and tears?

Thank you for taking the time to read my poetry.  Each Jewel has a special meaning to me, and have grown on a great many fans.  For you, a favorite quote: "In all thy getting, get an understanding."
