The blistering winds build mountainous hills
on the horizon which before me is set.
All alone on a journey where loneliness kills
though still alive on a perilous trek.

Deserted on a desert of visions unseen
I witnessed the earth dancing toward the evening sun.
Such a romantic visage of a cosmic dream
as two heavenly bodies soon merge to become one.

A myriad of colors streak across the skies
like a mirage of stellar wonders seen by a dying man.
Such a cosmic wonder of heavenly ties
while still hopelessly bound to the hot desert sands.

I see the sun just ahead on the horizon
and for joy of its glory Ill earnestly engage.
Therell be no sun if I should die here
but  my horizon still seems so out of range.

Curious reflections of galactic unknowns
spark the fire which makes me tread,
kept alive by a yearning I feel in my bones
from desert sands I lift my weary head.

Breathlessly I move forward,
but my horizon never grows nigh.
Mystically I look toward
the sun on my horizon.
