Deep Elm Record Label
In 1996, John Szuch (founder of Deep Elm) released his first 7 inch inch record which started Deep Elm Records. In hope of getting us away from the politics that "plagued the scene", Deep Elm started a label that would definitly do just that. Now with over fifty bands on their rooster, Deep Elm sets the standards that many indie/emo labels have not by giving us what we want to hear. Deep Elm focuses entirely on music, and each band has a sound that carries you away. No matter which record you
pick up, as long as its on Deep Elm, its guaranteed to be a masterpiece. My record collection consists mainly of Deep Elm bands, and as it continues to grow, it will continue to be Deep Elm records. The label itself has so much history behind it, from the start Deep Elm has created not only a label of great bands, but also a staff that cares about the music scene. "From ownership to distribution, Deep Elm is 100% independent and will stay that way"
