| In 1996, John Szuch (founder of Deep Elm) released his first 7 inch inch record which started Deep Elm Records. In hope of getting us away from the politics that "plagued the scene", Deep Elm started a label that would definitly do just that. Now with over fifty bands on their rooster, Deep Elm sets the standards that many indie/emo labels have not by giving us what we want to hear.
