He shouldn't have any scarring but has to wear STRONG sunscreen this summer (or a Michael Jackson glove). If it gets exposure to sunlight it could tan the burn making his hand be discolored forever.

| We had a big pile of brush in our yard. Nate decided to burn it and just put a little gasoline on it to make sure it burned good since it was "green". It was kind of windy and hot that day and he was having second thoughts about it but decided to go for it anyway. So he poured on some gas, led a little trail, squatted down and lit it. In an instant the gas vapors just exploded. He didn't realize what had happened at first. He first brushed his left hand over his head and down his right arm. He got to his hand and skin just slid right off it. Our friend Betsy was over and she says "Nate just said he needs to go to the hospital". I couldn't believe it... I just said "yeah, whatever!!" and she said "I think he's serious, he's running". Then I realized he wasn't kidding. So we hurried and got into the car. I got to drive really fast and cut people off the whole way... it was fun, maybe I should be an EMT?? hahah. Nate was stomping his feet and singing songs the whole way to keep his mind off it. After 30cc's of morphine, some other kind of drug and 2 hours later we were ready to go home. Of course not until after Nate tried to get another dose of morphine "for the road". He was extremely lucky that it didn't burn more of his body. | ||||||||||||||||||||||

| It looks much better now but it still kind of pink and gets red after he uses it too long, it gets irritated.
