Hello, and welcome to a website dedicated to the techological empowerment of the computer novice. However if you think that this site will not satisfy the pallet of more adapt individuals, you are wrong. The aim of this site is to be Newbie freindly and technically accurate. A daunting task to say the least, technophiles like myself indulge in the computer world (often with the desire to understand everything about it) but the average person just wants the computer to work efficiently and there is nothing wrong with that. The facts are, however, that knowing something about how computers work can really help you be more efficeint in your day to day activities.
Let all the people who told you that computers were complicated and not worth knowing fall by the wayside. I am not saying that you need to go the tech-side, you just need to understand how to diagnose problems and fix the basic ones. It will save you time and money in the long run.
However if you really want too get to know computers as much as the "Gurus" than I will be happy to help. You would be surprised at how open the majority of computer hobbyists are. The stereotype of the classic geek sitting in a dark room only lit by a CRT or LCD screen, for all hours, is in fact a myth. Yet this does not mean that the stereotype is not fuffilled in certain individuals, yes allot of computer enthusiests (and "Hackers") do have rather poor social skills... but we are a freindly bunch.
