| Host: Eric Butler Announcer: Jim Williams Gametime: Wednesday nights Gameplay: With a tip of the hat to AIM Pyramid and the various other incarnations of the Pyramid game on the net, Eric Butler hosts the only Pyramid game formatted after the recently cancelled "Donnymid". Two celebrity/civilian teans compete in a word association game where one player conveys clues to a word to another. The aim is to get all 6 words in 60 seconds. In each main game, one of the 6 Pyramid categories is the Super Six where if 6 out of 6 are gotten the civilian wins a great bonus prize. The team with the most points after 3 rounds of the main game goes to the Winner's Circle for a try at $10,000. The Winner's Circle plays the reverse in that one player gives a list of items that pertain to a category. The aim is to conquer the Pyramid's 6 categories to win $10,000. One trip by a civilian is worth $10,000. If the same civilian wins $10,000 the first time and goes back they play for $15,000 more for a total of $25,000. Prepositional phrases are, in general, illegal in clue giving as are synonymous words. Interesting notes in YIM Pyramid: This game has been the earmark of controversy. David Hammond, a member of the net games list, shunned the idea of this game citing that he owns every right to the Pyramid format. Our argument? We aren't apart of the Net Games List. That being said, we welcome all comers who want to play our game. Eric Butler also hosts "Nighttime" Wheel of Fortune and hosted an ill-fated version of Whammy that is known in these circles for his Alex Trebek-esque hosting prior to its original cancellation. |
