| Host: Will Jarmon Announcer: Greg Brobeck Gametime: Saturday or Sunday, 6-8 p.m. (ET) Gameplay: The All New Super Password is the newest game to the ICGSN family and it goes a little something...like this. It's Super Password for the new millennium. Play is similar to Password Plus in that a celebrity/civilian team tries to convey a password to one another. There are 5 passwords each round and they all relate to a person, place, or thing. After a password is correctly conveyed, the player who guessed correctly gets a crack and guessing the puzzle. If right, they win the round and the points. As many as 4 rounds can be played. Round 1 is worth $1,000; Round 2 is worth $2,000; Round 3 is worth $3,000; and Round 4 is worth $4,000. The team that wins round 2 plays Cashword for a chance at bonus money. Up to 3 clues are given for a more difficult word. The Cashword Jackpot starts at $2,500 and increases by that amount until someone hits it. The first to $5,000 wins the game and plays the Super Password round. Super Password is exactly like Password Plus' Alphabetics. You must correctly convey 10 passwords in 1:30 to your partner and the words range from 1 letter in the alphabet to another (i.e. A through J). Every word correctly conveyed is worth $250. Getting all 10 is worth a jackpot that starts at $10,000 and increases by $10,000 each time it is not won. Interesting notes in YIM All New Super Password: Unlike Password Plus opposites are allowed on Super Password. For the record foreign words are okay too (i.e. rojo for the password "red"), so long as they don't contain the word (pantalones for the password "pants" would be illegal). Will Jarmon considers himself to be the Dick Clark of Internet City Games, because like Mr. Pyramid, he gets fidgety with numbers, but keeps his cool. For whatever reason, Triple Play and Joker's Wild host Jim Williams was the answer to one of the puzzles on the pilot to The All New Super Password. The clues were announcer, triple, play, host, and creator. |
