If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead you shall be saved. Romans 10:9
For God so loved the WORLD that he gave his one and only son that who-so-ever BELIEVES IN HIM will not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16
For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves it is a gift from God, not of works lest any man should boast. Ephesians 2:8-9
All you have to do is right there in those verses! See; in the old testament people had to give a sacrifice of an unblemished lamb to cover for their sins. Because God is perfect, he can't allow sin in heaven, so there had to be a sacrifice of the lamb in order to wash your sins away so you could get into heaven. And this was done like once a year. When Jesus came to earth he came to be the PERFECT SACRIFICE to wash away our sins so that we can all go to heaven and be with him when we die. He was the ULTIMATE sacrifice and so now we don't have to sacrifice anymore. "For he was pierced through for our transgression, he was bruised for our iniquity, the chastening fell on him for our well-being, and by his stripes we are saved." Isaiah 53:5 he went through suffering, pain, embarrassment, and then he hung upon a tree, with two criminals on each side of him, and then he was buried a sinners burial. And the thing is... he never sinned! Remember what I said earlier?? It had to be an unblemished lamb, so Jesus couldn't sin! And he didn't sin!!! He lived a PERFECT life, but was accused as like a thief. Blamed for blasphemy, when he was telling the truth. So if you believe all of the things I said then that is your first step to becoming a Christian. All you have to do now is tell God that you know that you are a sinner, that you believe that Jesus died for you so you can go to heaven when you die, and that you want to give him your life to take care of. You can just say the following prayer:
Dear Lord, I thank you so much for sending Jesus to die for me. I want you to come into my life and take over. I love you and I need you in my life today and every day for the rest of my life. I want to go to heaven and be with you when I die. I thank you for all that you have done for me and I pray that you will continue to bless my life. In Jesus name, amen.
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9
If you mess up, all you have to do is tell God that you were wrong and ask Him to forgive you, and He will!
Am I now trying to win the approval of men, or of God? Or am I trying to please men? If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a servant of Christ. Galatians 1:10
No temptation has overtaken you, except such
as is common to man. But the Lord is faithful, and with all temptation there is
a way of escape that you may be able to bear it.
Do you sometimes wish you were part of the “in” crowd –
that, you were really cool and were seen special by your peers? Jesus and His
friends weren’t exactly part of the cool group either.
Some people might have even seen then as rejects, but God
didn’t. God saw them as a bunch of ordinary men and women of all ages who
weren’t afraid to admit that they didn’t have it all together. They wanted more
out of life than posing and pretending everything was alright.
So, who are we really trying to please?? Are we trying to
please our best friends, or are we trying to please God? Are we trying to fit
in with man, or are we trying to fit in with God? You tell me. Peer Pressure is
a powerful thing. Sometimes you can’t do both. Actually most of the time you
can’t do both! It’s really hard. Just remember though, God is the one you get
to spend an eternity with. You probably won’t even have a century with humans.
Next time you are pressured to do something remember that!
Don’t give into peer pressure! Being cool might turn out
different from what some people make it out to be. It’s so hard not to give in,
but hang in there! You’ll get through this, and God will help you!
When you’re stuck in a position where you don’t know what
to do, just ask yourself, “What would Jesus do?” It helps a lot! It may not be
easy – at all. But what would you prefer: being “cool”, disappointing God, and
making yourself feel guilty; or walking away, putting a smile on God’s face,
and feeling like you have pleased God and are happy with yourself?
"I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end." Revelation 22:13
God has been around forever! And he will ALWAYS be around! It may seem a little weird and hard to imagine that he was never born, and he will never die. He is there... he was always there and will always be there! And that's one of the things I like about Him, since He is always there, I can go to Him anytime I want to, and with anything that is bothering me!
THE BIBLE IS TRUE!
Astronomy. "The host of Heaven cannot be numbered." Jeremiah 33:22
For centuries man has tried to count the stars. Ptolemy counted 1056, Brae 777, Keller 1005. This number continues to increase, and today it is well over 100 billion in our own galaxy! But 1000's of years ago Jeremiah wrote this and even more amazing is Psalms 147:4-5. Isn't it great that the same God who made the stars is interested in each of us?
Physics "He hangeth the world upon nothing" Job 26:7
Job wrote this fact over 3500 years ago, and yet this is 20th century physics. Newton's "laws of gravity" do not add anything to what Job recorded. They simply explain how God hangs the earth on nothing! At the turn of the 20th century scientists believed a space substance called "ether" existed through out space and somehow help the earth in its position.
The same creator who hangs the world on nothing was willing to be hung on a tree to secure forgiveness of sins for everyone who believes in him!!! (John 3:16)
Physics part II "He sitteth upon the circle of the earth." Isaiah 40:22
Isaiah wrote this fact around 700BC. Circle in the original language gives the meaning of spherical. In 1519, over 2000 years after Isaiah, Magellan sailed around the world to disprove the belief that the world was flat. Look also at Luke 17:31-34.
Medical and Health. "If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the Lord thy God, I will put non of these diseases upon the." Exodus 15:26
God told Moses, do not eat the flesh of any animal that had died of a natural cause. This is advice still followed in civilized countries today. Quarantine principle, unknown until recent times explained to Moses 3500 years ago. God forbid drinking contaminated water from stagnant pools or by coming in contact with dead animals. (Leviticus 11:29-36) Also disposal of sewage is in Deuteronomy 23:12-14.
When I was in Tajikistan this past summer, the principle of quarantine was not practiced among the children who attended our camps. We had a Tajik doctor with us and as I and another worker tried to isolate the children with chicken pox and tuberculosis, the doctor over ruled us and allowed the sick to stay and live among the healthy. Also, in the streets of the city of Kulob, where I lived when not in the hills at camp, the children and adults drank water from filthy ponds and even the tap water, when available, was not anywhere near what we would call pure. I was often sick from bad water and I boiled all that I drank.

See!! Right there is your proof, all of those things were told in the Bible long before anyone ever figured it out!. What more proof do you need? There are many people in the Bible who tell us over and over again that there is no fault in the Bible and that everything said in it is true and up-to-date but some people just won't listen! They insist on believing that it has changed drastically over the years and that people changed it and we could be following something that is totally false! Now how stupid is that?? You may not know how many people are out there like that, I can even name a few! But I encourage you to spread around the things that are told in the Bible to the people who don't believe. After you have them convinced that the Bible is true then you can go on to the message of salvation! It's a perfect set-up for the message!
For whom he foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed of His Son, that He might be the first born among MANY brethren. Romans 8:29
Cast all your cares on Him, FOR HE CARES FOR YOU. 1 Peter 5:7
"I have loved you," says the Lord. Malachi 1:2
For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing can separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38-39
---- God loves you, he always has! He predestined you before the earth ever was here to be one of his children!!! He sent His ONLY SON (at that time) to come and die for you! Now that's some pretty powerful love don't you think? The people in the world look at the outside of you, the way you dress, how you wear your make-up etc. But God looks at your INSIDE. (1 Samuel 16:7) He knows who you really are, and He loves you for the person that you are.
And He said to them "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation." Mark 16:15
For God so loved THE WORLD that He gave his only begotten son, that who-so-ever believes in Him shall not perish bit have everlasting life. John 3:16
----- God loves THE WORLD, He loves everyone! Right down to the murderers! You need to tell everyone that He loves them, because that's what we need to do for Heaven to be more full. We need to let everyone know that we have a friend in Jesus, that he died for us, and loves us, will always be with us, and will be our shoulder to lean on when we are weak! So go now, and share this awesome news with everyone you know! No matter what they will think of you, God will be with you always, and will be helping you as you talk to them.
--- There are many ways to share your faith with people. You need to tell them the basics.
-- He loves you! (John 3:16)
-- He will forgive you! (1 Peter 5:7, 1 John 1:9)
-- He wants to be your friend! (Job 29:4)
-- You can know that you will go to a better place when you die! (John 14:2-3)
-- He is the ONLY way to Heaven, good works can't get you there. (John 14:6, Ephesians 2:8-9)
And then after you have talked to them, that is when God will work on their hearts. Tell them that they can go to you if they have more questions, or if they want to pray with you. If you do not know how to answer their questions then get some one to help. Me and Kelly are here, but your pastor or you parents will be able to help. And never cease praying for this person! Pray day and night for them that they will receive the word.
Beloved do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal among you, which comes upon you for your testing, as though some strange thing were happening to you; but to the degree that you share the sufferings of Christ, keep on rejoicing; so that also at the revelation if His glory, you may rejoice with exultation. If you are reviled for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you. By no means let any of you suffer as a murderer or a thief, or evildoer, or troublesome meddler; but if anyone suffers as a Christian, let him not feel ashamed, but in that name let him glorify God. 1 Peter 4:12-16
“Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you, not as the world gives, do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful.” John 14:27
Casting all your cares upon Him, for He cares for you. Be of sober spirit: be on alert. Your adversary the devil, prowls about like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. But resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same experiences of suffering are being accomplished by your brethren who are in the world. And after you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, will Himself: perfect, confirm, strengthen and establish you. 1 Peter 5:7-10
Is there anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. James 5:13a
“Never offer any part of your body to sins power. No part of your body should ever be used to do any ungodly thing. Instead, offer yourselves to God as people who have come back from death and are now alive, offer all parts of your body to God, use them to do everything God approves of. Romans 6:13
Don’t you know that your body is a temple that belongs to the Holy Spirit? The Holy Spirit, whom you have received from God, lives in you. You don’t belong to yourselves. You were bought at a price. So bring glory to God in the way you use your body. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20
Brothers and sisters, in view of all we have just shared about God’s compassion, I encourage you to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, dedicated to God and pleasing to him. This kind of worship is appropriate for you. Romans 12:1
Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the body is weak. Matthew 26:41
Therefore your minds must be clear and ready for action. Place your confidence completely in what God’s kindness will bring you when Jesus Christ appears again. Because you are children who obey God, don’t live the kind of lives you once lived. Once you lived to satisfy your desires because you didn’t know any better. But because the God who called you is holy you must be holy in every aspect of your life. 1 Peter 1:13-15
Some people don’t realize the
strength of temptation, but others don’t realize that it is possible to over
come it. With today’s society you can’t go very many places where you aren’t
surrounded with sex. It’s in the movies, on the television, radio, in
magazines, some newspapers, the internet, stores, school, etc. You can’t escape
it unless you literally lock yourself in a closet or hide in a cave! “So what
do I do about it?” you ask. You fight it with the word of God. IT IS POSSIBLE.
Relationships. Yeaaahhh I know you
don’t wanna hear it from us too. But you know it’s there. It lingers around
waiting for your weakest moment. You get carried away. You know in the back of
your mind that it’s not what God wants for you, but you do it anyway. Yeah
there may be forgiveness, but why did you even do it in the first place?
“He/she really wanted me to!” or “I just couldn’t resist… I feel awful though.”
For one thing… if your boy/girlfriend was only with you to get that: isn’t that
a sign that it’s not going to work out? Unless that was your goal too, which
for your sake I hope it’s not.
In God’s eyes: sex is a beautiful
thing to be kept inside marriage. It was a gift, a CHILD BRINGING gift. If you
are tempted so bad, you should look forward to it and save it for the one that
God wants you to share it with. If you are already having sex with your
boy/girlfriend and can’t stop… get married! “But I’m only 16!” Do you know how
old Mary was??? She was between the ages of 12-15! Wouldn’t you rather be
married and accidentally have a baby? Now I’m not saying for everyone to get
married early but If this is a big problem then it needs to be confronted and
not ignored what-so-ever. Ooo just wait.. we’re not done. There are also MANY
sexually transmitted diseases (otherwise known as STDs) and other things that
come along with this gift if you don’t keep it inside your wedding vows. If not
both partners have kept pure then you still have a slight risk, but if you find
someone who has kept pure there is no risk. People make mistakes: we aren’t
perfect, nowhere near. But under no circumstances does that mean we don’t need
to strive to be like Christ.
Now we will officially talk about
how you can defeat temptation and remain a virgin until marriage.
1) Make sure that you and your boy/girlfriend are on the same terms in that area. 2) Draw near to God. The closer you are to God the harder it is to fall away into temptation. 3) Understand that you can’t do it alone, submit your life and your body and your mind to God. If you need to, get a friend to encourage you along the way, make a promise to your friend or even your parents to stay pure until marriage. (promise rings are a good reminder and may help encourage you as you remember the commitment you made)
