MEMBERSHIP |
- Membership in the society is open to Malaysians who have
attained their 18th birthday.
- Every application for membership shall be proposed and
seconded by two existing members and shall be forwarded to the Secretary of the local
Branch, who shall, at the first convenient opportunity submit it to the Branch Committee
for approval. The Branch Committee may at its discretion reject any application without
assigning any reason therefor. Applications for membership in the centres where no
branches have been established shall be dealt with in the same way by the General
Secretary and Central Committee.
- Legally constituted organisations or bodies which have their
aims and objects to promote self-defense or related sports, social and cultural activities
may become affiliate members of the society without voting powers.
- Every applicant whose application has been approved as a
foresaid shall, upon payment of the prescribed entrance fee and first annual subscription,
be admitted as a member of the Society and shall be entitled to all privileges of
membership.
- All Malaysians who have attained the age 18 or who are still
below 18 are to become associate members of the Society. Associate members do not have
voting rights and cannot stand for elections.
- Other organisations which have their aims and objects of
promoting self-defense or related Sports, social or cultural activities may become
associate bodies of the Society and vice-versa Both at national or the international
levels.

ENTRANCE
FEES, SUBSCRIPTION AND OTHER DUES |
- The entrance fee and the subscription payable shall be as
follows:
- Entrance Fee RM5.00
- Annual Subscription RM5.00
- All annual subscription shall be payable in advance within 30
days of the first of each year. Payment shall be made to the Branch Treasurer or where no
branch exits, to the society Treasurer.
- Any member who fails to pay his subscription within two months
of the new year shall receive a written notification signed by or on behalf of the General
Secretary of his Branch Secretary, and shall be denied the privileges of membership until
he settles his account.
- Any member who fails to pay his subscription within six months
of the new year shall automatically cease to be a member of the society.
- The central committee shall have the power to fix a
re-entrance fee for any person who has allowed his membership to lapse through arrears.
- Special subscriptions or levies for particular purpose may be
raised from members by resolution of the delegates conference of the Society. If any
member fails to pay such subscription within such period as may be resolved, the amount
due shall be treated in the same way as arrears of monthly subscription.
