Being born in a musical family in Jamshedpur, Subhas was inclined to music since childhood. He was extensively trained in Indian Classical music under the guidance of his mother Baby Khasnabish, Pandit Nandalal Bose (Disciple of renowned Flute player Late Pandit Pannalal Ghosh) and Pandit Chandrakant Apte. He has done M. A. (Sangeet Alankar) in instrumental (Hawaiin Guitar) classical music from Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya, Pune. He is an approved artist of All India Radio and Doordarshan, Bhubaneswar. He was motivated to compose music intially by his uncle Late Swapan Chakraborty who was chief assistant of Legendary Music Director R. D. Burman. As a songwriter and composer, he had produced the debut album for famous Bollywood singer Babul Supriyo in 1995 which was released by Pan Music, Mumbai. He also has been providing training on vocal and instrumental music for last 20 years. He works in Hewlett-Packard as Software Engineer for living. |
