| The name of this organzation shall be The Internatioanl Club of Chabot College. Purpose of the International Club The purpose of this organization shall be to provide a common meeting place for international students of Chabot College to explore, learn about, and educate fellow students of the diverse cultures present at Chabot College. Through activities it is our intention to extend this also to the entire student body of Chabot College. Membership All members of the ASCC are eliginle to join the International Club. Membership however is limited to registered Chabot College students only. No membership fees are required. Qualifications and Elections of Officers Section I. Officers are as follows: Executive officers - President - Vice President - Secretary - Treasurer - ICC Representative Section II. Club Elections will be held annually on the 3rd week of the fall semester. Duties of Officers Section I. Duties of President A. Preside over all meetings B. Call general and special meetings C. Carry out the provisions of the constitution D. Appoint committees and their chairpersons E. Oversee all committee activity Secion II. Duties of the Vice President A. Assume the duties of the president in his/her absence B. Perform any duties delegated to him/her by the president Section III. Duties of the Secretary A. Keep accurate minutes of all meetings B. Act as correspondence clerk C. Type up and distribute agendas for meetings D. Be present at all club meetings. If unable to do so, he/she should appoint a replacement and advise of absence prior to the day of the meeting. E. Perform any duties delegated to him/her by the president. Section IV. Duties of Treasurer A. Handle funds and finances for the club B. Keep financial records C. Pay bills and release funds as voted upon by general membership D. Make financial reports when called upon to do so by the general membership E. Perform any duties delegated to him/her by the president Section V. Interclub Council Representative (ICC) A. Attend all ICC meetings. B. Report results of ICC meetings to the organization The Role of the Advisor Section I. As stated on page 6 of the Chabot College ASCC/ICC registration form. Responsibilities Section I. This organization accepts full financial responsibilities for all activities bearing its name as official sponsor and will adhere to all college regulations. All publicity for the event must bear the name of the sponsoring organization. Amendments to the Constitution Section I. Any amendment to this constitution requires a two-third vote at a general meeting. |
