A Message From the President
I am Lesley De La Cerda, a Senior studying Business  Administration with an emphasis on International Business and Social Science  with an emphasis on the Chicano and Latin American Studies.
The success of this organization is my concern and I am  honored to share in that responsibility.  I encourage all members to take one minute of their time to contribute  something; whether you electronically cast a vote, Email a suggestion, view the  website, offer encouragement or contribute to an event.   The International Business Association  is open to all students of the  CaliforniaStateUniversity,  Fresno campus.
The general demise of organizations is greatly caused by;  executive officers unwilling to let go of a project to others, and others  expecting the executives and committee members to do all the work. An organization is more than a  board.  If there is one thing we  have learned from other cultures; collectivism not individualism is the  key to the success of organizations.  I want to see I.B.A. become the success it deserves. We have several team members who have  taken responsibility and bring enthusiasm; this often becomes tiresome if there  are not enough people to pass the torch to, and so the flame becomes  extinguished.
One act of courage brings experience and diminishes  uncertainty.  By taking one  courageous step, we embark on an adventure that shapes who we are.  There is no great mystery to organizing,  networking and leadership. I have only one major request for the members of the  International Business Association (IBA).  Share your experiences and information to help unfold the mystery for  others because secrets were meant to be shared between two people.
After we graduate, we become leaders and the success of a  leader is dependant upon openness, a willingness to take the lead of others when  they are on to a good thing, and to be a contributor as well as delegate.  Collectively, we can move mountains,  make great strides, be more valuable than a king's ransom, and leave a  legacy.
