Team Profile/History - Another of the original GM's, Aaron had the misfortune of landing in the single toughest division in the IBC.  Any other and he might be in first place, just as Cincinnati and the Cubs could.  He's 8 games over .500 against teams outside the division

Lineup - Pierre isn't living up to the nilling, but Pujols is an exceptional young hitter as is Kearns.  Once Burroughs touches his potential this lineup is pretty scary.

Bench - Buchanan is a pretty good power threat off the bench with Robinson the best contact sort.  He's also the best defensive sub on the bench.

Defense - Puijols is a heck of a first baseman, but he's playing RF.  Average defense all around, no holes, no strongpoints really.   Varitek is an underrated catcher whose greatest defensive strength is that he may call the best game anywhere in baseball.

Rotation - Garcia and Oswalt are ahell of a start, Myers may be a better young pitcher than beckett right now (sonsidering the latters injuries) and Carlos Hernandez has carried himself quite well this season.

Bullpen -Graves is a weak closer.  Looper and Kline are usually reliable but the pen is not a strong point for this team.

Minors - Burroughs, Dessens, Floyd, Hernandez... a lot of potential for the future on this team, matched with some young stars who have already established themselves as starters.

Overall Grade
- B-  The lineup and pen could be a little more solid and the rotation needs a year to get some better numbers in, but this team is pretty strong and would be higher if not for the tough division.

Over/Under
Over - Carlos Hernandez -  Kicking ass in the sim 8-3 2.40
Under - Austin Kearns - wait until the sim catches up to the real thing.  Not godlike, but very solid (especially for a 22 yr old) and a vast improvement over the sim.

Prescription - A year of seasoning and a better closer perhaps?
