Team History/Profile
A very dangerous team with decent pitching and a very deep lineup.  This team has changed drastically from its original draft, retaining only Mussina, Leskanic and Fletcher.  A hard team o review because of so many deals being done.

Rotation
Gil Meche has been the teams ace thus far with a 7-2 record and a 3.40 ERA.  Mussina has been a disappointing 4-8 and 3.33 ERA.  Hampton has been 4-0 with a 3.43 ERA, but dont expect that to last as he was 1-3 with a 4.62 ERA for Texas prior to being dealt.

Bullpen
Sasaki has done an excellent job closing with Myers and Strickland being the other big arms out of the pen.  These three have combined for a 6-2 record with 17saves and a 2.44 ERA over 120 innings.
A deadly trio.

Lineup
Almost half the ABs for the team have been by players no longer on the roster.  Alomar, Vizquel and Damon make for a speedy top of the lineup then its Bagwell, Abreu and Burks responsibility to drive them all in.

Bench
Goodwin adds yet more speed off the bench, though there isnt a whole lot more coming off the pine

Fielding
Burks and Johnson can both be defensive liabilities, though Johnsons arm makes up for his below average glove.  Damon has the best glove on the team and Abreu has the best arm in the OF.

Minors
A good young minor league organization, though there are only 3 players on the farm who could help during this season as the others are too young and not in the system.

Overall Grade

B+ A pretty well rounded team

Over/Under
Under- Kazuriro Sasaki and Mike Mussina.  Sasaki has been very good in the sim, but in the MLB hes been better, holding a .35 ERA at this point in the season.  That means hes allowed a total of ONE earned run.  Did Mussina ever have a 4-8 record even when he was on those awful Baltimore teams?  No explanation on this one.
Over- Mike Hampton.  Hampton could lose his starting job any day in Colorado, hes been THAT bad and at this point you have to wonder if its more than just Coors field, hes the worst pitcher on that team.

Prescription
I would not have traded Green for Abreu, but thats just personal preference.  Not much room for improvement on this team, though if there was it would be hard to tell as most of the players havent been with the team for very long.  A deeper bench would be a plus.  The bench doesnt have any exceptional defensive replacements or power threats.
