| Team Profile/History - A team who has bounced between owners several times, and understandably so, as it needs some help. Lineup - A good young hitter in Phelps, Cuddyer also has some potential. Otherwise, nothing special, mondesi is the 'big bat' of the lineu, though he's never had a 100rbi season. Bench - Hollandsworth is a pretty good bench guy when he's healthy, vaughn used to be a decent hitter too, otherwise nothing special. Defense - Cuddyer at First is the best defensively, a weak team glovewise really. Rotation - Ainsworth and Kennedy are good young pitchers, but this team lacks any semblance of an ace. Simontacchi will be helpful ext year, but he's no ace. Bullpen - No Closer or stopper to speak of, Foulke was a good closer a couple years ago, but lost the job. Minors - Simontachi could be very helpful, Williams missing the season was a blow also. Overall Grade - C- Not a pretty team to have to run. Some promising young players but weak in a lot of areas. Over/Under Over - Michael Cuddyer - 21 hr's in the IBC,a bright spot for this young team Under - Josh Phelps - Really tearing it up in Toronto Prescription - Let the young guys play and have some patience. |
