NOTE - This analysis is strictly the opinion of the Red Sox GM, and was done as objectively as possible and strictly for the fun of it
Team Profile/History - Founder, mentor and all-around nice guy, Bren is also the IBC Commish.  Nearly gave up in the midst of a chaotic draft, but hung with it and seems to be enjoying the league.

Lineup - Rickey  is Old (he's also Rickey) but gets on base, Kendall through Hunter makes for a good 2-5.  Nomar is a perenial batting title threat and Dunn has the best combination of plate discipline and power of any 22 yr old.  Ever.  Biggest weaknesses are Lopez and Reese, easily.  Reese brings a good glove, Lopez brings...   Hmmm.  We'll get back to you on that.

Bench - Shallow hitting wise, with Saenz being the only power threat, and not much of one at that.  Sadler and Benjamin both play multiple defensive positions very well, but can't hit their weight.  Chen might be a decent LF or 1B someday, but the vote is still out on that.

Defense - Very strong defense, especially up the middle.  Dunn is a liability in LF as is Lopez at 3B.  Carlos Pena may be the slickest fielding first baseman in baseball.... but he's not proving it this year.

Rotation - With a 1-3 of God, Lowe and Pineiro, there are some challenges this season, though next year looks Very promising. If dempster ever lives up to half the hype/potential he'll be fine as a #4 starter.  Sparks is just a plug at 5.

Bullpen - Mecir, Spooneybarger and Hasegawa may duel for the closer's role next year.  No strong lefty reliever, King's just OK at best.  File is quietly solid while Phelps... well he plays for Tampa in the MLB, Nuff said..

Minors - Lots of Players in the Low minors, particularly A ball.  Only Sanchez can help this year and Hernandez and Asencio look to be the only ones tohelp next year.  The others... some very good pitching, especially Burnett and Bonser.  Stokes and Mauer could be very good position players, eventually.  Most of these guys are too young to really predict anything though.

Overall Grade
- A    Well rounded team with equal emphasis on pitching, defense, hitting, the bullpen and the minors.  He's been a busy guy.

Over/Under
Over - Felipe Lopez     Rickey, Nomar and Dunn also get nominated, but Lopez was pathetic in the majors this year but is hitting .300 with 19 triples in the sim.  19 TRIPLES!  Ridiculous.
Under - Derek Lowe   His sim numbers aren't surprising given the year he had last year.  If the DMB guys had been able to predict his MLB numbers I'd be calling them for Lottery tips.

Prescription - A lefty in the Pen?  Maybe one more LEGIT hitter in the lineup?  I don't think he's got much to complain about though.
