Team History
Has changed hands within the last month or so and is now run by the former Marlins GM.  Seemed like a force in the NL East coming out of the draft, especially afer dealing for Sosa but hasnt been able to comethrough, though much due to lacking an active GM.  Lets hope Brian can turn that around.

Rotation
A solid rotation frontlined by Johnson and rookie phenom(?) Joel Pineiro.  With a 2.53 ERA, Johnson should be better than 6-4.  White Sox prospect Jon Rauch could be very helpful in the future once hes healthy again.  Lopezs 6.00 ERA hurts.

Bullpen
Yan is not a proven closer, nor even an exceptional reliever.  His 5.05 ERA hurts right now.  Rincon might be a viable option.  Shoot Steve Sparks, he has 10 losses and an 18.00 ERA.  Fossum, Bones and Nunez have ERAs below 2.01 in Atlanta, they need to be utilized more until that changes.

Lineup
Only one better (clark) with a .300 avg or better (.301).  Sosa, Hollandsworth and Clark have 23, 17 and 15 HRs respectively.  No players with a .400 OBP, Ensberg leads the team at .377.  Leadoff man with High OBP needed to score runs

Bench
Pretty shallow Bench, especially for a NL team, particularly due to the large (8 man) bullpen.  Mabry and Anderson are 3-4 on the team as far as batting average.  Allensworth is batting a sad .083 in 24 ABs.  Bury this guy deep in the minors.

Fielding
Higginson is the teams best defender, with Jose Vidro being the largest liability, though his bat SHOULD make up for it, currently its not.  Halter is also weak at short and is better at first or third.

Minors
Rauch is an excellent pitching prospect and Joel Pineiro also has an exceptional arms, either could be future aces. Not much as far as hitting in the minors for this team.

Overall Grade

C- This team should be better than it is, look for it to surge later in the season.

Prescription
Hitting.  This team isnt hitting at all and is not supporting strong efforts by Johnson and Pineiro.  The bullpen is also a particular weakness with more than 20 losses coming from the pen, half from Sparks.
