Sailor Mercury became the second sailor scout. She appears in the first season as Ami, a new and extremely smart student at Serena's school. She is mostly left alone because of her brains, but Serena befriends her right away. Luna though, senses something about her and thinks she's one of the Negaverse's goons, so she persuades Sailor Moon to check it out. With a diguse pen, Serena transforms into a nurse and goes undercover into Ami's cram school and finds out it's not Ami, but the teacher who is one of Queen Beryl's monsters. When the former teacher tries to take Ami's energy, the Mercury symbol appears on her head, so Luna tosses her a tranformation pen. As Sailor Mercury, Ami uses the move, Mercury Bubble Blast, to fog the room, giving Sailor Moon the chance to finish the monster off.
Ami herself is very shy and extremely intelligent. She's always the calm one in the Sailors' situations and tries to keep everything under control.
