The meeting was called to order by B. Fleishman, Invocation was given by Rev. Bob Lamar.

The Minutes of September 8 were approved.

Treasurer's Report: $170 in Conference registrations have been received. The balance is $6302.

Agenda - There was no printed agenda. The main purpose of the meeting was to discuss the conference.

St. Rose is handling most of the details and publicity. So far only about 40 have signed up for workshops. More are expected to come for the evening. There will be signs indicating parking. The street address was omitted from the flier. St. Joseph's is 959 Madison Ave., between Main and Partridge Sts. The address has been added to later publicity.

There was much discussion about other possible means of advertising. Anne Marfey said she would put an ad in Metroland. B. Fleishman would see about an announcement in Frank Mauro's propgram on WRPI. Bob Lamar said he would contact Susan Arbiter, Vox Pop.

We should check with St. Rose first to see what has already been done. Dr. Edgar's speech will be recorded. Lou Ismay expressed willingness to record workshops if a camera could be located.

Motion was made that the total amount available for ads be $1500. Motion passed.

Some larger posters could be used.

Deb planned to send a letter to presenters with details. She could urge them to talk to people in their organizations about coming to the conference. We should come about noon time to help with arrangements, registration, etc.

One speaker for the Nov. 6 debate, Thomas Barnett, has backed out. Can he be replaced by another person?

Meeting adjourned.

Respectfully submitted,
Florence Skiff
