You Still Cared
A few of you knew me, but all of you cared.
You stayed quiet and prayed when you were all scared.
Do you know how much that means to me?
It means so much to my whole family.
When I was down, ready to give up,
You thought of me, and brought me luck.
Do you know how much that means to me?
It means so much to my whole family.
I had no strength, I was so weak.
You still cared, even at the sickness' peak.
Do you know how much that means to me?
It means so much to my whole family.
The cancer was almost too much to bear.
Yet you kept asking, showing you care.
Do you know how much that means to me?
It means so much to my whole family.
I was so sick, and ready to quit,
But you stopped me by caring every little bit.
Do you know how much that means to me?
It means so much to my whole family.
When it seemed like I wouldn't make it out,
You still cared without a doubt.
Do you know how much it means to me?
To me, you are all part of my family
A Friend Everyone Needs
Like family you are to me
Never turning your back
Always there to listen
When something's gone bad
There to share my happiness
And whatever I may be going through
Thanks for being that true friend
That everybody needs
MY FRIEND, I THANK YOU
Every day, at this time
I think then I count,
All the wonderful things
That have happened;
And every day, they mount,
Again today, I must admit,
That from beginning to the end
The happiest thing that happened
Was when you called me,
"FRIEND"
A friend who shows no greed
But is there in time of need.
One who shows
How much they care
By the things they do
And are so willing to share.
You are this kind of FRIEND to me.
May our friendship last
Through eternity.
Just a breath away...
As you read these words,
remember most, this I say,
that I'm never far from you,
only a breath away.
It matters not the miles,
not the year or the day,
our souls are intertwined,
only a breath away.
Your thoughts are my thoughts,
from a cloth that won't fray,
bound together in blood,
only a breath away.
Creations formed from love,
embraced, in lifes disaray.
even death can't divide us,
only a breath away.
Know that this I promise,
in your heart I will stay,
for all time, all eternity,
only a breath away.
Angel's Lullabye
Now the day is over,
bedtime is here,
May you hear the Angel's Lullabye
whispered in your ear.
Angels are here to watch over you,
Whether your dreams be happy or blue.
We'll wrap our wings around you softly
with a hug,
As you fall asleep so sound,so snug.
Our golden harps will serenade you with
a gentle rhapsody of love,
As you fall into peaceful sleep
with blessings from above.
Songs will sing so tender to rock you through
the night,
Rest now my friend for there is no fear in sight.
We will never leave you for love has sent us here,
This love comes from a friend who holds you
closely ever dear!
We will never forget!
Doing our best to survive
Never to forget the loss of lives
Etched so deeply in our soul
The words of courage.. "lets roll!"
Now so many lives are lost through such terror
You damn terrorist think you're so clever
You creeped into our daily life trying to blend
Until 9/11 came and your actions put so many lives to end.
The day the buildings were forced to fall
I'll never forget that call
The longing and wanting to pretend everything is okay
But many had to sit and wait or come what may
Americans hold Freedom dearly at heart
We may sometimes take it for granted till we part
Unfortunately there is a price to pay to live free
This cost was too big of a fee can't you see?
We will stand together through such bad weather
Living life more stronger now then ever
But the courage is strong as we stand together
May we bond even stronger now more then ever.
We've tasted the terror in over abundance
This crept into our life by surprise
To watch a loved one or anyone die
The day the terror crushed our life
So many lives have gone
Trying to figure out how can we can carry on
Picking up the pieces
We americans will somehow hold our heads up high
Although maybe with a tear in our eye
"We will never forget" what happened on 9/11/01
