Just informing you guys out there who still actually come to this site....everyday....hoping for something new...no, there's nothing new... <edit> Ooops, my personal website is getting a bit too dirty already so I had to remove it. Doesn't it suck feel uncomfortable to watch out for what you type on the internet? Damn Haiya, I feel like a fish in a damn not nice bowl making sure he doesn't hurt anyone by typing shit not nice things.

Topic: DG Visit

Our District Governor paid us a visit. I for one have no idea what he does and why he's so important. Maybe he's like the other millions and millions of Rotarians... you know... very loaded... with money... Get this, I went to the toilet one time and he was in there too. He didn't even bother to look and smile at me... and my friend.

Our District Governor, David Tong paid us a visit. Presidents of every Interact Club in Tawau talked about their past and upcoming activities. Photos are up. -The End-

Topic: Talent Time Pictures Finally Up

The pictures for the Talent Time Contest are up. Took the pictures from our teacher's digital camera. Report? Too lazy. Maybe when a bird's poop lands in between my eyes... beside a pet shop... at Sabindo... in my car...

Topic: Ooops...

Talent Time 2004 is finally over. Was it really (I'm supposed to lie about this) successful? In terms of management, it all went smoothly. But in terms of audience numbers, .... well.... it was... Let's just say it's half the number of audience that would've gone to a Chinese Talent Time Contest.

Anyway there will be a slight delay in the publishing of the talent time pictures. Should've known better than to let my baby sister use the digital camera yesterday night.

Topic: Talent Time Preliminaries

Photos are up! Successful is the only word I could think of right now. 17 solo performers and 6 instrumental groups were rigorously judged and finally only 10 soloists and 5 bands qualified. The dance preliminaries is postponed to 30th January 2004 so participation in this category is still open. Deadline for submission of application is on the 28th January 2004.

Note: Please use English materials ONLY. Guess who's looking at you, "Enjoyable Band".

Topic: Real & Complete Information on Tiempo Del Talento 2004

What? Tiempo Del Talento?

It's basically a Talent Time Contest (Muzikarama). This contest/concert will be especially unique because it's the first time a talent search contest is held in the English Language. Organized by the (who else) Interact Club of Kuhara, this event is focused on "cungkiling" the vocal and instrumental talents of teenagers in Tawau. And if anyone needs to know, some of the benefits will go to charity (Polio Plus Program).

Spectating

Venue: Hing Hwa School Hall

Date: 31st January 2004

Time: 7.00 p.m. to 10.00 p.m.

Ticket Pricings: RM5 (Upstairs) & RM10 (Downstairs)

Extra:

- The hall is really huge so I suggest getting the RM10 tickets for a clearer view. Unless of course you're not coming to see people dance...

Participating

Preliminaries: 18th January 2004

Finals: 31st January 2004 (duh~)

Categories: Solo, Dancing & Instrumental

Participation Costs (Total):

Solo: RM5

Dance: RM10

Instrumental: RM10

Prizes (in order of 1st, 2nd & 3rd):

Solo (RM100/RM80/RM50)

Dance (RM200/RM150/RM100)

Instrumental: (RM200/RM150/RM100)

Extra:

- Those who qualify for the finals need not buy tickets to attend the show.

- Solo performances = one singer will sing whether accompanied by CD or musical instrument (he/she must be playing it his/herself).

- Dance = any style of dance preferably modern types.

- Instrumental performances = singer(s) must be accompanied by at least one musical instrument. Live band goes into this category. The reason we call it "instrumental performances" is because we wanted to widen its scope. This performance must have one or a few person(s) singing and another one or few person(s) playing the guitar/piano/flute/etc.

Topic: Charity Show Ticket Sale II

Attempt number two on selling the circus tickets is at a local market. We went from stall to stall asking if they were interested. This time, we didn't even sell one measly ticket. Seems that RM22 per person is just too much for them. Hm...

Topic: Charity Show Ticket Sale

Things didn't go so well for us. Actually it didn't go well at all. Only managed to sell 2 out of 300 tickets. Very uneventful morning to say the least. Anyway out of desperation we decided to sell it online... Yes, I know it's a long shot but it's worth a try. You can contact me through e-mail (checked daily) at [email protected]. The tickets are for the 1st December 2003 show (after puasa) and 75% of the proceeds go to charity. So please lend a hand. *End of Pathetic Message*

Topic: More Photos Tomorrow, I Promise

We'll be roaming the streets of Tawau to sell charity show tickets to the Royal London Circus show in Tawau. The charity show will be held on 1st December 2003. We (the boys) aren't really the persuasive types so it'll be interesting to see how much tickets we will be able to get rid of by tomorrow. Target = 300 tickets.

Topic: Community Service Project

About 20 SMK Kuhara interactors will be accompanying (an expected) 17 senior citizens from the Air Panas Old Folks Home to the Royal London Circus show in Tawau on the 15th of November 2003 as part of our community service project. Yep, the senior citizens from the old folks home that we visited are gonna really enjoy themselves on that night.

Topic: First Interact Luncheon

Correction, we had our first luncheon meeting at Dreamland not City Club. I had spaghetti. Others had sizzling steak. Argh, what a waste I didn't order it! Oh yeah and the BOD section now has photos! Yeah! Now you go find an interactor from SMK Kuhara who you can stalk.

Topic: Interact Meeting

We are going to have lunch/meeting at Tawau City Club tomorrow afternoon. It took us a while to decide on City Club. Here's a list of several rejected suggestions:

1. Mrs. Yu's (our teacher advisor) house

2. Kopitiam

3. Air-conditioned Kopitiam

4. KFC

5. Mamak Stall

Topic: More Hits

This site has been generating a great amount of hits lately particularly after the fellowship night. I guess everyone is so damn egoistic that they have see their own faces on the web. Anyway, this is a good thing. Tell your friends about this site. And one more thing, sign the guestbook.

Topic: Fellowship Night

So how was the fellowship night? It was great... Ok maybe I didn't really mix around much during that night (thus defeating the point of fellowship night) but everyone else had a great time. The Interact Club of SMK St. Patrick organized a few games for the evening and then we (The Interact Club of SMK Kuhara) put up what seems to be a great sketch performance. A lot of girls dressed up for the occasion... I mean really dressed up. The expensive haircut and everything! I think I better stop here before sounding like a perversive bastard.

Topic:  Chit Chat

The trip to the old folks home yesterday was ok. I just feel sad for them. Some were limping, some were lifeless and some were even mentally disturbed (I thought they belong somewhere else?). I have a phobia of seeing other people suffer, it really sucks.

On a happier note, there's a Joint Fellowship Dinner this Sunday (26th October 2003) involving the active Interact Clubs of Tawau. We are going to perform a sketch on that day. Wish us luck!

Topic: Visit To Old Folks Home

A visit to the old folks home, what could be more entertaining? (sarcasm). I know I'll get lambasted for that comment. Anyway it's all good, we are doing this to let them know we (ignorant hedonistic teenagers) still care. So the members are going to meet up at school at 2.00 p.m. today to practice a few songs that are to be sung to the old folks. Let's just see how it all goes...

Topic: Welcome All!

Welcome to the Interact Club of SMK Kuhara Website. Yes, I know the layout may be a little out of theme but what the hey. It's nice. This is mainly a picture site, filled with (duh~) pictures. Navigate through this site using the links on the right. Enjoy!
