Rationale for a
The consideration has been made for this
InterFaith Settlement to be established within a previously held public park to
facilitate less disruption compared with proceeding through the
somewhat corporate methodology of raising capital, negotiating the purchase of
land, and possibly, effectively evicting disgruntled residents. It is also appropriate for the land provided
for this InterFaith Settlement to be transferred from land that has been
maintained under the stewardship of a governmental entity, so that the
provision of such land can be more readily recognised as an intrinsic public
decision for the comprehensive public good.
There is a certain pragmatism in establishing this InterFaith Settlement within a public park, particularly one that has maintained the practice of recreational tourism and lodging. Within such a public park, there is certain opportunity for the cultivation of agriculture specifically involved with this InterFaith Settlement. And within such a public park, there is a previously established infrastructure of residential accommodations, additional buildings and facilities, as well as utility connexions, to more readily facilitate the transfer of residents within this InterFaith Settlement. These residential accommodations have also been designed for short term utilisation, so there is an intrinsic modesty and simplicity that appropriately coincides with the precepts and practices of this InterFaith Settlement.
