It may not get respect because it resembles every other corporate office products store, but Office Depot has been a consistent friend to the fountain pen community by selling both high-quality and low-cost pens, as well as providing ink refills in a convenient form at prices lower than anyone else (in Houston, at least). You can find pens by Waterman, Cross and Pelikan among the supply here, and although the staff are unspecialized, they seem to want to help. Office Depot also likes to torment non-FP users by placing a prominent display of beautiful pens where they can't miss being drooled over - next to the checkout, where you'll be dying to see something that interests you while the person ahead of you in line asks "just one more" question.
