I believe in Jesus Christ, and that He is the Creator of all things. I believe that He is the only begotten son of the one and only true God, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. I believe that God is worthy of highest praise, worship and total obedience, and that all men are sinners, beginning with Adam, the first man created by God. I believe that the penalty for sin is death and damnation in hell.
Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Romans 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:
I believe that Jesus Christ is the Savior of all men. I believe that He was miraculously born of a virgin and lived a perfectly sinless life. I believe that preached the good news of the kingdom of God, and that He died a substitutionary death on the cross as atonement for all who sincerely believe in Him. I believe (as do all who profess Him to be Lord) that He died and rose from the dead, and ascended to the right hand of God, our heavenly Father.
Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
I believe that He will one day return to righteously judge both the living and the dead, who will be bodily resurrected by the power of God. I believe that those who have rejected and disobeyed God will be damned forever to eternal punishment in hell, and that those who have believed in and obey God are saved, and will be with Him forever in His Kingdom, and will worship Him in eternal peace and everlasting joy.
Acts 17:31 Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.
I believe that salvation is the free gift of God that comes exclusively from His grace provided by Jesus Christ, and that no works of man, nor will of man, nor intellectual knowledge, contributes to salvation. I believe Jesus Christ is the unique prophesied Messiah, and only way of salvation. I believe that those who are saved have been predestined for salvation by God from before the foundation of the world, and predestined by Him to do good works, magnifying the glory of God, edifying the body of believers in Christ Jesus, and availing the salvation of souls.
Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. 10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
I believe that the Lord has assured His elect saints of the God guaranteed certainty of salvation through grace, exclusively by faith in the one and only savior, Jesus Christ. I believe He is worthy of being worshipped in spirit and in truth as He requires.
1 John 5:13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
I believe that Jesus Christ also lived a perfectly exemplary life, and that all Christians who follow Him are to emulate His life, by shining the light of His love into the world of spiritual darkness. I believe that all men are lovingly and righteously commanded to love God without reservation, and to love one another. I believe God is love, and that His love is not separated from His perfectly righteous judgment, but that His perfect justice is a manifestation of His perfect love.
John 13:34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.
I believe that, since Christians must walk by faith, not by sight, all of the intellectual understanding of believers must be guided by an a priori trust in God's Word, that has been revealed through the Holy Bible. I believe that the Bible is the inspired, inerrant, and fully trustworthy Word of God. I believe that God has guaranteed the preservation of His Word forever, and that it is thus currently available to everyone, including English speaking Christians.
Isaiah 40:8 The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever. Matthew 24:35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
I believe that the King James Bible is the authoritative, unabridged English Bible, accurately translated from the original Scriptural writings by faithful, true believing Biblical scholars. I believe the King James Bible contains no additions, deletions, or substantive changes from the original Biblical texts. I therefore believe that the King James Bible is the absolutely correct Word of God.
I believe that Christians are to walk in love, preach to gospel to everyone, and to longingly (but patiently) await the return of our Lord Jesus. I believe Christians are to be willing and prepared to give answer to unbelievers in all apologetic matters, constrained only by reasonable limitations, and not to be led into stubborn and futile argumentation with scoffers.
1 Peter:15 But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:
I believe it is important to be exceedingly grateful to the Lord God in all things, as no one has anything but what has been given by God. I believe people cannot please God, but by the power of the Holy Ghost that God has given them to do so.
John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: 13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
I believe that, as only God can read the heart, that believers should accept as brethren those who profess true faith, even if they disagree on trivial matters. I believe Christians should lovingly admonish one another, and be eager to forgive each other's faults, for the sake of Him Who has forgiven us all.
Ephesians 4:32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.
I believe the purpose of man is clearly stated in the Holy Bible, as it is written:
Revelations 4:11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.
