When the animals are ready, they will be taken to appropriate wild places and liberated.  We track the bears with radio collars or GPS collars to ensure that they adapt to the wild and intervene if necessary.

About 75% of all animals we receive are liberated.

Andean Bears have excellent memories and some are unable to forget that food coes from people, and have trouble in liberation.  These bears are in danger of being shot when they approach  houses or farms.
