Amy Grossberg and Brian Peterson were high school sweethearts. In November 1996, they checked into a hotel room in New Jersey where Grossberg gave birth to a boy. The teens panicked and threw the baby into a dumpster. Originally, they claimed their son was stillborn, but later blamed each other for his death. Both accepted pleas in spring 1998 to manslaughter.
