Reading List AP US History 
2005-2006 

We hope all is going well as you finish off the school year. As we indicated when you signed up for AP US History next year, there will be a summer reading. 
This summer we will be reading two books: one fiction and one non-fiction. 
Book Choices (choose one from each category) 
      Fiction:     	1. Uncle Tom’s Cabin by Harriet Beecher Stowe 
   	2. The Jungle by Upton Sinclair 
Non-Fiction: 	1. Lies My Teacher Told Me by James Loewen 

In addition to reading two books, you will need to keep a journal of your reading. The journal will be due the first day we return from summer vacation. The journal should be kept in a spiral bound notebook or something comparable. It should contain notes and insight from each book. The notes should be approximately 10-15 facts per chapter.
