Greetings, plebeian:

I'm too lazy and too poor to maintain a full-blown, full-featured site right now. So for now, all this crap is just going to sit here—waiting for the day when it shall all rise again, I suppose.

At the moment, this site revolves around a library of other people's writings. I have included links to my personal journal, to create the illusion of "original material," but it's really pretty inane. Eventually there will be all sorts of interesting things here—eventually, but NOT RIGHT NOW. & not any time soon. So don't hold your breath.

The Reverend Graham Steele, 23 May, 2003

Ideally, I would consider this site to be, more than anything else, an artistic—even religious—statement. It is not just "some crap I threw together"—well, it is precisely that, of course, but this is not what I'm "going for," dig? The original Instant Salvation (Peace Be Upon It) was inspired by my goal, at the time, of "starting my own religion" as it were. Things are a lot more complex now—my "religion" is largely an ideological vacuum; "starting" it would be amazingly counterproductive—but something about that is still true, in an ontical, trans-semantic sense. I'm not "starting a religion" & I never was, but whatever I am doing—or trying to do, with great difficulty—is a shadow of the same concept.

...For the most part though, that is all irrelevant: if this site ever ceases to be so terribly "provisional," chances are pretty good that I'll rewrite this entire page—in the meantime, everything here is just a glorified U-Stor-It shed for my meticulously written HTML.

That is all. There is nothing else. I have nothing more to say.
