Return to the grave, new feelings
is not what I crave,
But this wave of emotion enlightens and brightens the day I gave,
Back to where I belong, where I can do no wrong,
Where no song of joy can so be heard, no laughter will reach my throng,
For festive lights and cheerful spirits deepen my own sorrows
As I wish no more for yesterdays, today’s and tomorrows
Soft spoken words still reached my ears, what is this sound?
Has my head bound in a new profound resonance, confound
I am as the poem surrounds my body, unwound
Now is my heart, a life once renowned now drowned
With a love so abound, a new king is crowned,
No more nights of endless self pity
No more days of lifeless self struggles
Welcome back
To my love
back
