As a child I wandered down many country lanes
Through fields of fragrant clover and golden fields of grain
In scented piney forests I found cool comfort there
As milky white clouds formed a wreath
Suspended in the air.
Today was bright but misty, fog nestled fields of green.
The trees paraded endlessly their fine new clothes of spring.
The memories of long gone childhood came back to visit me
As I drove by sights of splendor as far as I could see.
I was rejoicing in my spirit of the glory of this day.
Thanking God for blessings
When I heard the Spirit say:
This could be the last spring you will ever see
For soon will come a new spring that will last eternally
This could be the last spring a glimpse of heaven now
As the King prepares a new spring for those who take the vow
This could be the last spring that you will ever see
For soon will come a new spring prepared for you and me
