Chapter
30
Bryan gently laid Alex on the bed as she smiled looking at him. The two
stared at each other, lost in the emotion and excitement that was before
them. Bryan walked over to the stereo, searching through Alex's selection,
trying to find the perfect song. So much relied on this moment, it would set
the course of their relationship. Alex had waited for Bryan, she had waited
for the man who would make her feel secure, loved and above all understand
her. Bryan was the man and now it was time to give him something that she
held on to for twenty-one years. Alex watched him choose the song, she had to
laugh at herself, he was actually nervous. She knew what he was thinking and
she knew that no matter what, the moment was right and Bryan was the man she
loved.
I would sure love believing
In something that's never leaving
Would like to let go the hurting
When everything's so uncertain
Bryan turned around, looking at Alex. She was so beautiful, laying on the bed
waiting for him. He walked over to her, standing before her. He still didn't
feel worthy of her. He didn't know how he got so lucky to even be considered
by her. But she did, she smiled at him, she kissed him, she rose to her knees
on the bed.
You know I tried
To show you what I have inside
Will we laugh at how this all began
When you're an old woman and I am an old man.
Bryan reached out to her; she took his hand and stood up next to him. He
gently took her in his arms, their bodies touched, heart beat becoming one in
the action. Alex laid her head on his shoulder; Bryan wrapped his arms around
her, caressing her back. The two began to sway in the music, letting
everything go, giving freely.
Take me wherever you go
Help me forget tomorrow
Love me your best and I know
All of the rest will follow
Love me as well as you know
And everything else will follow

Sidney carried Bailey to his room, trying not to disturb the lad. She softly
placed him in is bed, pulled the covers over him and tucked his black teddy
bear under his arm. Ever since Shane's accident, Bailey didn't go anywhere
without his teddy bear. Bailey even got upset one day at school when a
classmate took the bear from him. It was Emily who explained it to the
student how important the bear was to Bailey and was able to get it back.
Sidney stopped at the door looking back at Bailey. He was looking more and
more like Michael. His crooked smile was becoming more apparent and even how
Bailey turned his head when he spoke. Sidney could remember having deep
conversations with Michael and he would cock his head in understanding.
Sidney would just laugh when he did that, laugh and kiss his lips. Bailey
even had the callic on the left side of his fore head, just like Michael.
Sidney loved the fact that Bailey was becoming so much like Michael but it
was amazing how she was beginning to lose Michael. His face was still fading
from her memory and sometimes she felt that if it weren't for Bailey, she
would forget Michael completely.
She slowly closed the bedroom door, wiping a tear from her eye. She walked
down the hallway to the living room to see Mark still lying on the bed that
she made.
"Did Bai finally get to sleep?" Mark asked sitting up.
"Yes, he was feeling sort of hot, I just hope he isn't getting the flu or
something." Sidney fumbled with her shirt, trying not to look at Mark.
"What's wrong?" Mark asked, taking her hand.
"Nothing." Sidney said finally making eye contact. She looked into his
deep
blue eyes, excitement running through her body.
"Are you sure?" Mark pulled her down on the blanket as she sat down
next to
him. "You have that look."
"What look?" Sidney asked.
"Look of confusion but certainty." Mark smiled, brushing back a stray
hair
from her eyes.
"Mark, you aren't making sense." Sidney laughed.
"I never do. But when I am with you, that is the only sense I know."
Mark
leaned forward, kissing her cheek.
"Mark, I love you." Sidney said quickly.
"You don't have to tell me that." Mark caressed her hand, tracing her
tiny
fingers.
"I know. But I have just wasted too much time in not telling you."
Sidney
pulled him closer to her, kissing his lips. She loved his lips; she loved the
fullness of his lips, the softness and how he gave everything in his kiss.
Mark leaned her back on the blanket, kissing her lips even more passionately,
harder and full of sex.

Kian laid on the couch in the waiting room, exhausted and tired. He dozed off
at some point, Emily stroking his hair as he slept. Emily walked out of
Shane's room, her head down. Still no change on his condition. The doctors
were fearful that he would be brain dead when he did finally come out of the
coma. There was no stimulus in his lower extremities and no eye movement in
his sleep. He was alive but the uncertainty was the fear, the concern and the
horror. Andrea may be a single mother after all.
"Em," Kian said sitting up.
"Yes." Emily walked over to him, sitting down next to him.
"No change." Kian said stretching.
"No." Emily took his hand, holding it in her lap.
"Did you sleep any?" Kian squeezed her hand, giving her a soft peck.
"I am fine, Ki." Emily smiled trying to reassure him.
"I don't believe you." Kian moved his arm around her waist, pulling
her
closer to him. "I know that this has been hard on you. I know that you feel
guilty for...well... I just know you."
"I did feel guilty because we were making love and getting lost in our own
world when our friends were hurting. But I don't regret our actions." She
leaned in and kissed his lips. In everything, Kian was her sane world. He
knew her past, he knew how Taylor came about in the world and he still loved
her. She knew that Kian would never hurt her and in the crazy world around
her, she found happiness. For the first time, she found happiness in a man.
"Kian, I found out today that David..."
"What?" Kian said looking at her. Just the mention of David sent
chills down
Kians back. Chills and anger. He knew that if he ever saw David, he would not
be responsible for his actions. Kian never hated anyone before until now.
Hatred ran through his veins and it took everything in him to control it.
"David will be released from jail in a month." Emily said looking
down. Her
lawyer called her that morning at school to let her know that David got an
early parole for good behavior. Emily couldn't help but laugh when he told
her that. Good behavior? David took the most important part of her and he
gets off for good behavior? Some court system.
"How can that be? He had two more years..."
"I asked the same thing but it doesn't make sense. Kian, I am afraid for
Taylor." Emily looked away thinking about Taylor. She hated being away from
her daughter and David being free didn't help the matter. "I still
have six
months on my contract at school before I can leave. I just don't feel that
Taylor is safe with my parents. I know what David is capable of doing." A
chill went down Emily's back as she thought about the night.
"Have Taylor come here." Kian said lifting her chin to look at him.
"I can
protect both you and Taylor."
"Kian, you know that I want my daughter here. I miss her so much
but..."
"But nothing. Emily, you know that I love Taylor. I love you and therefore,
I
love Taylor. I want her to come here. I can't bear the thought of you leaving
and I would never feel safe having you living back in the states." Kian
pulled back her hair, stroking her neck.
"I can't have you taking the responsibility..."
"It's going to happen eventually, I mean, when we get married." Kian
smiled.
It was the first time that Kian ever expressed his future with Emily. He
loved her and life without her was impossible. He loved Taylor and being a
father to her was what he wanted. Emily didn't speak. She couldn't, if she
did, then the imaginary world would be taken from her. It had to be a dream,
Kian wanting to marry her? It just had to be.
~~~~~~
I know you tried
To show me you were on my side
Could it be that I've already found
The thing that I've been searching the whole world round.
The song ended, Bryan and Alex looked at each other, the silence breaking
with laughter.
"What is so funny?" Bryan asked.
"You are so nervous. I am the one who hasn't had sex." Alex said
kissing his
lips again.
"I am not nervous. I just want to make...." Bryan's words were stopped
by
Alex placing a finger on his lips to silence him. He stared dumbfounded at
her as she very seductively began to unbutton her blouse. She slowly and
carefully delayed each button, moving her body in a deliberate movement. She
got to the last one, slowly opening her blouse, revealing her red satin bra.
She pulled the sleeves down, one at a time, lifting her eyes every so often
and seductively locking eyes with her man. Her hands began to run across her
skin, Bryan watching in awe.
"Ok, your turn." Alex said sitting down on the bed.
"My turn for what?" Bryan asked.
"Your turn to take something off." Alex crossed her legs, giving Bryan
the
motion to take something off. Bryan stood in the awkward moment. He began
pulling off his shirt.
"No," She said, shaking her head. "Slowly, Bryan." Alex said
smiling. Bryan
slowly pulled his shirt around his head, throwing the shirt to the side. He
stood with his hands to his side, waiting for the next step. She started to
giggle but stifled it quickly as to not ruin the moment. Alex stood up,
running her hands down her side, coming to the front of her jeans, she licked
her lips as she slowly unbuttoned her jeans, reveling in the fact that she
commanded every ounce of Bryan's attention as she unzipped her pants. It felt
wonderful to be desired, to be wanted. She pulled down her jeans, moving her
body in the action, kicking her jeans off to the side. She ran her hands up
her hips and snapped the waistband of her matching red bikini underwear.
"Your turn." Alex said sitting down on the bed, waiting for the show
to
began. Bryan gave her a look of awkwardness but also of excitement. He began
to unbutton his jeans, suddenly getting lost in the action. He closed his
eyes, swaying his hips as he pulled down the side of his jeans, revealing his
black boxers. He smiled at Alex, doing a slight dance in the gesture. A
smiled crossed Alex's lips, seeing how Bryan was actually getting into the
fun. Bryan turned his back to Alex, bending over shaking his ass, pulling
down his jeans. He kicked off the last leg of his jeans, turning around as
his hands roamed his body, in a very comical way, trying but failing to be
seductive. Alex could no longer hold it in. She lay back on the bed,
laughing. Bryan stopped his action staring at her.
"I am so sorry, honey." Alex said grabbing her stomach from the
laughing
"What? Am I just so funny to you?" Bryan asked, his arms crossed.
"No, I am just..."
"That's it!" Bryan yelled and jumped on the bed. He straddled Alex,
looking
down at her. "Think I am so funny?" He began tickling Alex, her
laughing in
the actions. They both laughed, Bryan rolled off Alex as they lay on the bed.
This is what made Alex and Bryan so right for each other. It was the most
important night but they still found the fun and playful part in it. She
rolled over on top of Bryan, startling his hips. She forced his wrists down
onto the bed. She flipped her hair to one side as she looked down at him. He
searched her face.
"God, you're so beautiful." Bryan said smiling.
"I love you." Alex said, releasing her grip on his wrist. He sat up
and slid
Alex down on to his lap.
"I love you, Alexandria." He kissed her long and hard, wrapping his
arms
around her. He unclasped her bra and slid it off her shoulders. He tossed it
aside into the heap of clothing on the floor. She eased him down back on to
the bed. She began kissing his lips, moving down to his neck, to his chest.
She lingered on his chest, rubbing her hands across his nipples. Bryan
moaning in the action. Alex eased her fingers under the band of his boxers
and began to take them off.
"We won't be needing these." Alex said. Bryan laughed and pulled her
back up
to his face. They kissed even harder and passionately, if that was possible.
Taking their action further into becoming one.
Mark and Sidney laid on the blanket kissing. Mark's shirt was off and
Sidney's blouse was open as Mark caressed her milky skin, touching her over
her bra. His hands roamed down her stomach to her jeans. Mark continued
kissing her neck and the center of her chest as he worked the zipper of her
jeans. Suddenly Sidney pulled him away, looking at him.
"I can't do this with Bailey in the next room."
"Sidney, I don't want to stop." Mark leaned down kissing her neck,
removing
her jeans.
"Mark stop." Sidney said pushing him away. She stood up, zipping up
her jeans.
"God damn it, Sid." Mark said straightening himself.
"I'm sorry. I can't...
"Well, then I can't stay here." Mark stood up, grabbing his shirt.
"Mark, I am really sorry." She took his hand, her shirt still open.
"Sidney, you are just really turning me on." Mark tried to look away,
her
skin so inviting, her breast so touchable. "I have waited so long to make
love to you. I just don't know who much longer..."
"Mark, it will happen. But not tonight, not with Bailey in the next
room."
Sidney gave him a smile.
"Stop it. Just stop looking all sexy and giving me that smile. You are
killing me, Sid." Mark put his shirt on and sat down on the couch to slip
on
his shoes.
"You don't have to go." Sidney said buttoning her blouse.
"Yes, I do." Mark stood up, staring at Sidney. "We have to take
our
relationship further. I need to have sex with you." Mark finally gave her a
smile, his eyes shining full of love for her.
"We will, I promise." Sidney walked over to him, kissing him. She
wrapped her
arms around him, pulling him closer.
"Stop it!" Mark said laughing. "I am leaving. I'll call you in
the morning."
He stepped away from Sidney and walked to the front door.
"Mommy!" Bailey yelled with a loud scream. Sidney and Mark ran to his
room,
turning the light on.
"Oh my God! He's burning up." Sidney pulled back the covers, picking
him up
as Bailey cried out to his Mommy.
"Wrap him up in a blanket. We're taking him to the hospital." Mark
said
grabbing a blanket. Sidney wrapped him up; Mark carried him to the car as the
two sped off to the hospital. Just one more night of fear for the two.
