Chapter 24
"Ouch, Damn it! Bryan, that hurts." Alex cried while Bryan
continued nursing
bher wounds.
"We don't want these precious hands to be scared for life." Bryan
smiled.
"You really did some damage, Alex. Your hands are raw."
"You should see her face." Alex said laughing. "But then she was
already ass
ugly."
Bryan laughed. Alex was so straightforward and so honest. She seemed so tough
on the outside but he knew that she was warm and tender on the inside. He
loved how she protected Sidney and stood up for her. Alex showed her loyalty
at no cost.
"There, all clean." Bryan said bandaging the last one. Alex looked
like a
World War hero but even in her wounds, bandages and scars, she was still
beautiful.
"I probably should be going home." Bryan stood up, putting his jacket
on.
"You must be tired from your excitement." Alex stood up, moved in on
Bryan
and kissed him. She wrapped her arms around him as he stood in the amazement.
"Sorry, but your lips are so damn inviting." Alex said, a grin
crossing her
face. Bryan didn't know what to say or do. She took him completely by
surprise. It took him a month dating Sidney before he even kissed her.
"Didn't you like the kiss?" Alex asked shaking him from his fog.
"Er.... yes.... um it was great." Bryan stammered.
"Sounds convincing." Alex sat down on the couch with her arms crossed.
"No, it was great, really. I've been wondering what it would be like to
kiss
you. I have been wanting to kiss you ever since I first saw you dance on the
bar counter." Bryan smiled and winked at Alex, sitting down next to her.
"I
was just hoping that your personality would make the first move."
"Well, I did and you acted like it was..."Bryan kissed her sweet lips
as she
moved in on him. She pushed him down on the couch, moving her legs around him
as she placed herself on top of him.
"Alex, I don't really think that we should move this fast." Bryan said
as
Alex pulled his shirt off. She began playing with the hairs on his chest as
her lips moved across his chest and then stomach. He gently brushed her hair
as she moved down to his pants. She sat up, smiling, licking her lips and
slipping of her shirt in the production. She revealed her strapless purple
bra, showing her flawless body. She threw her shirt across the room; Bryan
moved his hands up her stomach around her waist, fumbling with the straps.
Alex pushed his hands away and in one instance showed Bryan exactly why he
liked her body. She swung the bra around her head like a lasso, throwing it
across the room along with the other articles of clothing. Alex swiftly
unbuttoned Bryan's pants, roughly pulling his belt through the hoops,
unzipping his pants.
"I guess we might as well get it over with." Bryan said smiling. Alex
stopped
in mid-zipping of his pants and sat up.
"What did you say?" She asked with one eyebrow raised.
"I said we might as well get this over." He leaned in and began
kissing her
neck.
"Is that all this is to you?" Something to get over?" She said
swinging her
legs over him and standing up.
"What? No, I just meant." Bryan stood up as he pants fell to the
floor. Alex
walked over to the other side of the room grabbed her shirt and put it on.
"Alex, you don't understand..."
"Bryan McFadden, I am not just something to do quick and then forget.
You
are not going to fuck me and then move on." She yelled hitting his arm.
"I know that, Jesus Christ, Alex. One minute you are all over me and now
you
are Miss Proper." Bryan said pulling his pants up. "I was
joking."
"This is not a joke!" Alex yelled. "Get out of my house! Get the
fuck out of
my house!" She yelled. Bryan buttoned up his pants, grabbed his shirt and
finished dressing on the way out. He was totally lost for words; he got into
his truck and started the engine. He starred at her house, wanting to make
things right with her. Alex was not a one-night stand. He cared for her
deeply and for the first time, since Sidney, he actually loved someone.
"How could he take my virginity so lightly." She said out loud as a
tear
traced down her face. But then Bryan didn't know about her virginity either.
"He is no different then that God damn director!" She yelled and
collapsed on
the couch.

Shane drove over to Sidney's hoping to talk to her. He needed someone to help
him sort out his feelings; Sidney could always do that for him. As he pulled
up to her house, he saw Mark's car and sped past recklessly. He tried calling
Bryan; he had to talk to someone. Shane got pissed after the 10th ring of no
answer at Bryan's house.
"No doubt screwing Alex!" He yelled throwing the empty Vodka bottle
out the
window. He was mad, hurt and had no one to talk to. He didn't know what to do
about Andrea and the baby.
"God, a father?" He said turning the radio up to drown out his
thoughts.
Thoughts of what all Sidney went through in being a single mother and taking
care of Bailey. He thought about how scared Michael was when he found out
that Sidney was pregnant. They were both so young and just starting life
themselves. Shane was the first one that Michael called when he found out.
Shane was the calm voice for Michael as he shared his fears.
"Why aren't you here, Michael?!" Shane yelled as he weaved in and out
of
traffic. "Why didn't you tell me!" Tears started to flow down
his face; the
road was blurred from the wetness of the tears. He needed Michael; they all
needed Michael. Everything was falling apart around him and he saw no hope.
Shane pushed down on the accelerator hard, pushing the cars in front of him.
He dodged around one and then the other.
"I can't be a father!" Shane yelled. He pulled out the unopened Vodka
bottle.
He weaved around the traffic with one hand and opened the bottle with the
other, taking a sip. He had to drink and hopefully find the answer at the
bottom of the bottle. He only took his eyes off the road for a minute when
all he could see were lights coming towards him. He turned the wheel as fast
as his reflexes would allow him. He slammed on the brakes, his car not
stopping, hitting the railing. The railing pole punctured the window, nearly
missing Shane's face; glass flew everywhere as the car soared through the
air. Shane saw the ground come to an end; his body was limp, going in the
flow of the turning of the car. It flipped once, twice and then the third
time. Shane was slammed against the door of the car when it flipped the
fourth and last time, coming to a stop on its roof. The steering wheel was
embedded in Shane's chest as he tried gasping for air. He lifted himself up,
screaming in pain with the dashboard heavy on his legs. He had no feeling
from his waist down. The side of his head was gushing with blood, exposed to
the deep cut with his brain mass showing. A single branch was stuck in his
arm as he finally pulled it out, once again screaming in pain. He was pinned
in the car, the night rain starting to fall on the wreckage.
Shane began to go into darkness, his life playing before him. He tried
fighting the dark angel that was there for him.
"Andrea..." Shane faintly said. He had to keep alert, alert until help
came.
"I'm sorry." He said taking a breath. "The baby..." Shane
closed his eyes,
the pain too much. It was taking him over, his life was being taking away
and he could do nothing...nothing.
"Andrea!" Shane yelled with his last breath.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Andrea shot up in her bed, sweating and her heart racing. She grabbed her
chest, trying to get her breath. She had only just slipped away to sleep
moments before. She cried for hours on the floor before finding the strength
to go to bed. Her mind was exhausted from the crying as she slipped into
slumber. But something woke her. Something alarmed her. She jumped out of the
bed and ran to the garage. She opened the door to find Shane's car still
gone. She looked at the clock in the kitchen; it was morning. He had been
gone all night. She felt a pain her chest, something was wrong. She slowly
walked over to the chair in the living room, sitting down, staring into the
far distance. A tear slowly descended down her face, her heart aching. She
closed her eyes and rocked in the chair.
"Shane, please don't leave me." She softly said and wept, again.
