Chapter 12

Kian waited impatiently as he knocked on the door. He had circled around Emily's house 10 times before stopping. He had to know, he had to know what he did wrong.

Emily slowly opened her door as she saw Kian's face, his smile, and the only bright thing in her life right now as she stood looking at him. She wanted him to hold her, to make everything in her life good but she knew she couldn't.

"Please let me in, Emily." Kian said softly.

"I.... I have..."

"I won't stay long, I promise." Kian said smiling as Emily could not resist his smile, no matter how much she tried to fight it.

"Take it off!" Bryan yelled as the girl on the stage flung off her top revealing her very perky assets. "Damn glad that you talk me into this, Feehily." Bryan slapped Mark's back as Mark sat slumped in his chair. The already too many bottles of whiskey and beer were taking its effect.

"These girls are pretty." Mark said slurring his words.

"Yes they are. If were are lucky, we get to take a souvenir home." Bryan said as the girls g-string was flung at Bryan as he caught it. The two men continued their celebration of wine and women...both trying to let the booze numb the feelings.

Nicky couldn't believe his eyes as Sidney stood in front of him. She was beautiful in her white satin gown. The straps softly laid on her shoulders as the light gave away to what lied underneath, absolute heaven. Nicky couldn't move as he stood in his silk boxers mesmerized by Sidney.

"What's wrong?" Sidney asked self-consciously.

"Nothing, you are just so beautiful. I don't deserve you or this." Nicky finally walked to her as she reached out her hand to him. They stood close to one another as Sidney gently caressed his chest.

He was so handsome as his blue eyes sparkled. Sidney felt that she was the one who didn't deserve him. His body was so perfect to the touch as she ran her fingers down the center of his chest. She traced his hairline down to his boxers, smiling.

"I love you, Sidney." Nicky said as he kissed her shoulders. "You don't have to tell me..." Nicky's words were stopped by Sidney's fingers to his lips.

"I do love you, Nicky." Sidney pulled Nicky into her as she kissed his lips. She had said it, she had said the words, she was speaking her heart, and she was telling him the truth. She loved Nicky and Nicky loved her. Nothing else mattered as Nicky took her hand and led her to the bed. She softly lay on the sheets that he had carefully placed rose petals on. Nicky lay next to Sidney, looking at her as he brushed her hair back.

"Sidney, please tell me that you want this." Nicky said as he held her hand.

"Nicky, I haven't been with a man since Michael. I want to feel that pleasure again, I want to feel like a woman and after you told me that you love me, I want this more than anything." Sidney moved on top of him as she kissed his neck, his chest, his stomach and all the while slipping down her straps. She laid on Nicky exposed as he gave her a thrill with his touch. Nicky tossed her on her back as he slipped off his boxers. She smiled at the pleasing site as he lay on top of her.

"Thank you for letting me be the first, since Michael." Nicky said as his hands caressed her body.

"I would only want it this way." Sidney said as she kissed Nicky, kissed him in a way she had never done before. She kissed him releasing herself to him.... completely.

They rolled, they pushed, they moaned, they screamed, they sweated and they lay exhausted in each other's arms. There was nothing better then to fall asleep in each other's arms...fall asleep in the arms of the person you loved...

"Emily, I don't want to push you, but please tell me what I did wrong?" Kian asked as he sat looking at Emily. Her face was tear stained as his heart ached in her pain.

"It' not you, Kian. There is just so much I haven't told you, so much about myself." Emily sat across from Kian as her hands began to shake. Kian slowly walked over to Emily and sat down next to her. He gently took her hands and held them.

"Emily, I love you. I was going to tell you today at the picnic but you ran away." Kian said smiling as Emily returned the smile. "But there is nothing that you could tell me that would change that."

"Kian, I want to believe you.."

"Then do." Kian leaned over and kissed her cheek. She closed her eyes as a tear began to run down her check. Kian softly wiped the tear as he put his arm around her. "Just tell me, Emily."

"Kian, I have a five year old daughter." Emily said quickly. She didn't look at Kian; she couldn't see the disapproval in his face. But Kian sat quietly as he continued holding her.

"What is her name?"Kian asked.

"Taylor Anne." Emily said finally looking at him.

"I am sure that she is just as beautiful as you." Kian said smiling.

"She is absolutely beautiful. She has the brightest blue eyes and strawberry-blonde hair. She smiles all the time and is so smart." Emily's face lit up as she talked about Taylor. It was killing her not being with her daughter, she loved Taylor more then anything in life but she knew that being in Ireland was for Taylor's protection; actually it was for Emily's protection. Emily showed Kian pictures of Taylor as she continued to brag about her. Kian soaked up all the information and enjoyed seeing the love Emily had for her daughter.

"Can I ask about the father?" Kian finally said as Emily sat quiet. "I'm sorry, Emily. It doesn't matter..."

"Can we just enjoy this moment of you knowing about my daughter?" Emily asked as she held Kian's hand.

"Yes we can, when you are ready to tell me, then I am ready to listen. I love you, Emily and I can't wait to meet Taylor." Kian leaned over and kissed Emily as she returned the sweet kiss. They continued talking about Taylor as Kian watched Emily. There was a dark past of Emily, a past of hurt and shame. A past that Kian was determined to make right...or at least make the future right.
