Mark was seated at the bar waiting for the others to show up when he noticed a familiar face infront of him.
"I was wondering when you were gonna notice me." Jenn asked as she gave her friend a hug.
"How did you get in?" Mark asked.
"Mark, I would like for you to meet a very good friend of mine as of tonight. He found me out back before the show, and he was stood up tonight, so he asked me to join him. Mark Feehily, this is Adam.... Oh, I don't know your last name." She giggled. By this point she had had a lot to drink and wasn't thinking clearly.
Mark laughed to himself, knowing the way Jenn got when she was drunk. He made a mental note to torment her about it later on. She was usually the responsible one, making fun of him and the lads for drinking too much, and now, here she was. Hanging off of some poor guy, giddy as a twelve year old girl.
"My name is Adam Caulfield." He interupted Mark's thoughts. "And you must be Jennifer's friend. She didn't tell me you were a pop star."
"Well..." Mark was embarrassed. He still got that way when people recognized him, he couldn't get used to it.
"Oh my GOD!!!! It's my date. I finally found her. And what...what are you doing with another guy?" Bryan moved up along side Jenn playing with her.
"Jenn is drunk, Bry, so be careful with her. And this here is a friend of hers who got her into the show." Introductions were made as Shane and Nicky pulled up along side the group.
"Any sign of her yet?" Shane asked Mark, referring to the date he was supposed to have with Branna Garan.
"Nah, give her time. I'm sure she has to do press stuff, and not to mention get changed and relax for a few minutes." Mark replied.
"That was an hour and a half ago." Bryan pointed out.
"Well, she's a woman, what do you expect?" Mark defended. Just then a familiar song came over the speakers.
"If I die tonight. I go with no regrets. If it's in your arms, I know that I was blessed. And if your eyes, are the last thing that I see. Then I know the beauty Heaven holds for me..."
"Oh, this is my favourite song!!!" Jenn squealed. She grabbed Nicky's arm and led him to the dance floor. "I hope Georgina doesn't mind me stealing her boyfriend for the night."
"Well, I'm sure she won't mind a little harmless dancing." He replied as the swayed to the music.
"Harmless, you call dancing harmless? How can you say that. I mean, two bodies moving together to the music overhead. I mean when you think about it, there's nothing more than a piece of cloth separating our naked bodies." She slurred.
"If that's how you see it, Jenn. Listen, why don't we get you home. You look tired." He suggested.
"No, we have to wait for Mark's date." She stammered.
"Mark's a big boy. He can wait by himself."
"I should go and give that Branna Garan a piece of my mind. Who gives her the right to stand up my bestfriend?" She asked.
Just then, Jenn spotted Branna talking to some guys on the other side of the club. She pushed herself out of Nicky's arms, and made her way over to the pop star.
"Excuse me?" She tapped her on the shoulder.
Branna turned around. "Yes, can I help you?" She asked Jenn.
"Well, I don't know. See, you had a date to meet a friend of mine at the bar after the show, and well, he's there waiting and well, you're too busy making eyes at this bloke." Jenn stated.
"I've never been so insulted in my life. Who, may I ask, is your friend, I'm supposed to meet?" Branna asked.
"Mr. Mark Feehily, is my friend, and well, he's a good lad, and he needs to be treated good, and as his bestfriend it's my duty to make sure you don't treat him bad. Cause if you do, you'll have to answer to me." She continued.
"You're friends with Mark?" She laughed. "Well, you go tell him that if he wants to have a date with me, he'll have to call me up properly and ask." Jenn couldn't believe it. She didn't believe that she knew Mark. She turned her back and marched away from the pop diva.
"I'm ready to go home now." She looked at Mark. "Take me home now." She demanded.
"Hey, I can take you if ya want Jennifer. I'm going that way, so I'll give you a lift." Adam suggested.
"No, I want Mark to give me a lift. He brought me here, so He'll take me home." She looked directly into his eyes. "I mean it Mark. I want to leave now."
"Well, I still haven't spoken to Branna, Jenn. Just give her a few more minutes." Mark said.
"No, you won't be needing a few more minutes, I don't want you seeing her." She stated.
"Excuse me? Since when have you been the one to decide who I do and don't see?" Mark was getting upset.
"Mark, as your friend, I advise you to forget about her and move on."
"Listen Jenn, you're drunk and you don't know what you're talking about. Go home. Adam will take you, and I'll see you in the morning." With that he walked off, obviously angry at his friend.
Adam grabbed Jenn by the arm and escorted her out of the club.
