"It is in that moment that we first react we don't know how it will affect
us. It is not until we look back and say...I am stronger now." That is what
flashbacks are for to learn.... understand... and move ahead in life.
***Flashback***
Sherry and Bryan; 2 years earlier
"I just have to." Sherry said not looking at Bryan. She stood up from
the
bed, grabbing her robe from the chair and wrapping it around her.
"But the states?" Bryan said standing up. He pulled his pants on
staring at
her, his heart destroyed by her words.
Bryan and Sherry had been dating for 6 months. They met in Dublin at a party.
Bryan hadn't even heard of Westlife at that time and Sherry was finishing up
her studies in Video Directing at Dublin University. They fell hard in-love
in the first two months together. They were inseparable as they encouraged
each other in their careers. Sherry was Bryan's quiet force behind him
auditioning for Westlife. She was part of the celebration and part of the
beginning of Westlife success. There was singing and there was Sherry, to
Bryan. She was even more important then his family. Sherry didn't want to
tell him this way. They just had an incredible night of lovemaking and
enjoying each other. She didn't want the good times to end but she could not
longer hold in her decision.
"I have this opportunity and I can't pass it up." Sherry said, Bryan
standing
behind her. "This is what I have always wanted." Sherry turned around
to
finally face him.
"Sherry, I can't be without you." Bryan said reaching out to her. He
took her
hand and pulled her into him.
"You are my life."
"I know, Bryan. I wish that this job wasn't going to take me so far away
but
please understand that I have to do this." Sherry looked up into his blue
eyes. "I love you Bryan."
"I love you Sherry. That is why this is so hard for me." He pulled her
into
his chest. She could feel his skin next to her face. How could she leave
Bryan? How could she walk away from the only man she ever loved? The only man
who loved her back? Sherry mulled over her decision for weeks before even
telling Bryan. It was the hardest thing for her to do.
"It doesn't mean that we are breaking up." Sherry said, her breath hot
on his
skin.
"We have to be honest with each other. You are going to be so..."
"But Mark and Megan make it work." Sherry pulled away from him.
"Why can't
we? We love each other."
"I know." Bryan pulled her into him again. He began stroking her hair.
"I am
sorry. You're right, we will make this work." Bryan closed his eyes,
knowing
that he was only saying the words to please her.
"You could never lie to me, Bryan." Sherry said looking up at him.
"But I
love you even more for trying." Sherry began kissing his chest. "I
don't
leave for a month. Can we just have the last month of memories?"
"Of course." Bryan said smiling. He leaned down to her sweet lips,
kissing
them. Sherry slowly slipped off her robe; Bryan pushed her hard against him.
They stood in the moment, kissing and touching, the excitement rising in
them. Bryan picked up Sherry, placing her on the bed. Bryan outlined the
curves of her breast, Sherry smiling in his touch. He was the only man that
could make her feel so sexy and so innocent at the same time. Bryan leaned
down to her pure skin, kissing the sweetness that he loved. Sherry brushed
his hair back, remaining on his neck, leaning in to kiss his lips. She sucked
his lower lip as Bryan stared at her.
"I will always love you." Bryan said, his hands roaming down her
stomach to
her inner thigh.
"I will always love you." Sherry bit her lower lip, the sign that she
was
ready for him. The look that gave Bryan pure pleasure. He moved on top of her
as they made love like it was the last time. It was intense and hard. It was
filled with so much love and desire that the two simply laid in each other
arms afterwards, totally exhausted. Neither one thinking of what was yet to
come.
***Flashback***
Shane and Tonya: 1 and half years earlier
Tonya paced in the hotel room nervously. She quickly glanced at the clock on
the night stand, he would be there soon. The concert was over, the interviews
were wrapping up and he would be at the hotel soon. Tonya was wearing a baby
blue silk teddy that he left for her with a matching robe that lay across her
shoulders. Her blonde hair fell down her back as she checked herself in the
mirror the last time.
The guys piled into the black limo, tired but excited about their concert and
the fans screaming for them.
"Now to the party!" Kian yelled.
"Drop me off at that hotel, lads." Shane said leaning back in the
seat.
"No way, Shane, the night is young and we have yet to get a buzz."
Nicky said
patting Shane on the back.
"I'm tired." Shane said trying to convince his friends. Bryan was
still hurt
from Sherry leaving, Mark was missing Megan so drinking was what they needed.
Kian just wanted to get drunk and Nicky was there for a good time. Shane had
some place special to be. He knew that the woman he loved was waiting for him.
Shane and Tonya had history together. They met shortly after Megan went to
Ireland. It was a slight crush at first but quickly developed into love. They
supported each other, they listened to each other and they simply enjoyed
each other. The day that Tonya asked Shane to be her first sexually was the
happiest day for Shane. He knew how important Tonya's virginity was to her
and for her to ask him, he was honored. They planned the night. Tonya flew to
Manchester. Shane got them a hotel room, he bought her a beautiful teddy from
Paris and had the room filled with roses. They didn't tell anyone, not even
Megan or Kristina. It was to be their special night.
Tonya sipped her second glass of wine, trying to calm her nerves. She didn't
know why she was so nervous; she knew Shane would be gentle. But deep down,
Tonya never felt adequate to Shane. She saw how women threw themselves at
him, Shane was perfect and Tonya always felt she wasn't worthy of him.
"I have to go back to the hotel." Shane said as the lads entered the
club.
They didn't listen but got lost in the music and women.
The clock struck midnight; Tonya blew out the candles, put the wine away and
lay on the bed. She was right, she wasn't good enough.
Shane kept looking at his watch, he had to get a taxi, get away. But the lads
kept an eye on him and so did the girls. Each one throwing themselves on him
and buying him a drink.
Tonya walked to the terminal, passing the newspaper stand. There it was in
print...
"Filan snogs another model"
Tonya wiped a tear from her eye and boarded the plane back to Florida. She
sat down in her seat in silence, her eyes closed, her heart broken.
Shane looked out the terminal window, watching the plane ascend. He pounded
on the glass in anger. She was gone. She was gone.
Tonya met Brad one month later and was engaged four months later.
***Flashback***
Mark and Megan; 1 year earlier
The sounds of music and excitement could be heard throughout the house. Tonya
was out with Brad, preparing herself for saying, "yes" to his
proposal.
Kristina was in New York working for MTV and trying to keep Carlson Daly off
of her. The house was totally empty as Mark and Megan rekindled their love
for each other. It had been 6 months since they had actually been together.
The quick visits were never long enough to enjoy the pure pleasure of sex.
They were alone, Megan was able to express herself loudly and Mark once again
showed her why the hell she loved him so much. The evening actually started
in the living room, beside the fire. Megan had prepared a picnic in front of
the fire; they sipped wine, and fed strawberries to each other as Mark laid
her down to touch the body that he had longed for.
"I love you so much, M." Mark whispered in her ear. "No, I love
you Megan
Lindley. God, I love your name." Mark stroked her face, lingering on her
lips
as Megan softly sucked on his finger. "You know exactly how to make me
happy
in the smallest things and make them so special."
"You talk to much." Megan said seductively. She pulled him down on
him, their
hands roaming on each other's bodies. The touch went through their souls,
bringing them closer to each other. Mark and Megan had a connection, and
connection that they couldn't explain. From the first time that Mark met
Megan, he knew that she was the one for him. It was her smile, the moment he
saw her smile, she was forever etched on his soul. They endured time apart,
constant rumors and loneliness but their love remained strong.
The love making ventured into the kitchen, as Megan was getting them
something to drink. Mark followed her in the room, gently picked her up,
placed her on the counter and the action began again. Their lovemaking was
sweet, intense but always playful. It was amazing how all they knew in sex
was each other, even in the first time they made love, there was never an
awkward moment. Like it was said, they had a connection. The two finally
found their way to the bedroom, never missing a beat collapsing on the bed
continuing where they left off in the kitchen.
Mark rolled off Megan, staring at the ceiling. He had a permanent smile on
his face as Megan sweetly traced his chest with her fingers. He lay in the
moment, wishing it could never end. Touring was beginning to get to Mark, the
reporters, the interviews and the fans. In his life it was singing, family
and Megan. Not in any order. He wanted to be with Megan, to have her next to
him every day, to wake up to her every morning. The time apart was getting
harder for him. He was soulless without her.
"One more time, M and I'm am going to find out what it is like to wake up
inside of you." Mark said smiling at her.
"Well, then we need to take a break." She said jumping up from the
bed. She
put on her "Five" t-shirt that Bryan gave her as a joke and walked
into the
bathroom. She tried fixing her hair and face the best she could, hours of
making love can put havoc on your appearance. She searched the counter for
her lip balm; hours of kissing Mark made her lips dry. She opened up Mark's
overnight bag, looking for his lip balm. She found a note tucked away in the
deepest pocket, a smile crossed her lips thinking that Mark kept her letters
in the secrets of his bag. She opened the note and began reading. Her heart
began racing...her hands shaking...her face red from anger.
"You fucking Asshole!" Megan yelled standing before Mark. "How
could you!"
Mark jumped up from the bed looking at her in disbelief until he saw what she
was holding. "Who is Erin? And what kind of name is Astric, your pet name
for
her? No, don't tell me. Get the fuck out of my house.!" She yelled throwing
his clothes at him. She walked out of the bedroom.
"Megan!" Mark said quickly putting his pants on. "Megan, I can
explain." Mark
ran down the hallway.
"I don't want to hear it!" Megan threw a pillow at him from the couch.
"I
never thought you would ever do this to me!" Megan was a fiery redheaded
Irish/Italian woman. In other words, don't piss her off! Her brown eyes were
now red, her face the same color and her fists were clinched tightly. Mark
didn't know what to say, he didn't know what to do.
"Megan!" Tonya yelled running into the house, Brad quick behind her.
"I'm
engaged!" Tonya yelled grabbing Megan in an embrace. Megan stared at Mark
as
she hugged Tonya. Megan was a very private person. She would tell Tonya and
Kristina everything but this was the one thing that she kept from them. It
was the happiest day in Tonya's life and even though Megan's heart was
breaking as she looked at Mark, she would never ruin the moment for Tonya.
***Flashback***
Nicky and Caz; 6 months earlier
"Please tell me that you enjoyed it." Nicky asked as Caz lay in his
arms. He
wiped the sweat off her brow; she leaned up looking at Nicky.
"Nicky Byrne, you are wonderful." Caz said kissing him. Nicky smiled
in the
pleasure.
"So no regrets about having sex with me?" Nicky asked brushing back
her brown
hair. Caz was like no other woman. She loved Nicky for him; she took in the
simple things and even went with him to the footie matches that he so loved.
She even became a bigger fan then him.
Caz and Nicky met backstage at a Westlife concert three months earlier. It
was the first time in months Caz has been out since her breakup with Ritchie.
She was devastated and lost but her friend Catherine dragged her out to the
concert. Caz vowed that she would never date a popstar again. The girls and
fans were too much for Caz and the constant articles in the papers with
Ritchie took a toll on the relationship. The more Five got successful, the
harder it was to be Ritchie's girlfriend. But as soon as Nicky and Caz eyes
met, Caz couldn't help herself. Maybe it was Nicky's smile, his voice or the
fact that Nicky doted on her but Caz fell hard and fast.
"I couldn't think of anyone else I would want to give my virginity to. It
was
so wonderful that we could be each other's first." Caz said placing her
head
on his chest.
"I know." Nicky said biting his lip. Why did he tell her he was a
virgin? His
first lie. His heart sank when she said the words.
"I love you, Nicky." Caz whispered, closing her eyes.
"I love you, Caz." Nicky pulled her in tighter. "Caz, I
need to tell you
something. " Nicky spoke as Caz laid still. "Honey." Nicky said
bushing back
her hair. Caz laid peacefully, a smile on her lips, dreaming of life with
Nicky.
Nicky closed his eyes, embracing the only woman he loved. He had to tell her
but how? He gained her trust to only break it. He never let Caz go that
night, watching her sleep, feeling her breath on his chest. He held onto the
moment as long as he could.
***Flashback***
Lance and Ann: Five months earlier
Ann stood up from Lance, her heart breaking in his words. She closed her
eyes, her stomach tightened. Her mind raced with thoughts, her hands shaking.
"Ann, talk to me, please." Lance stood up, taking her hand.
"Don't touch me." Ann said calmly, she backed away from Lance. "I
can't look
at you anymore."
"Ann, I told you so we could get beyond this." Lance moved closer to
her.
"Get beyond this? Get beyond..." Ann stopped her words, looking at
him. Any
feelings she had for him was quickly fading. "You had sex with another
woman.
You ...had...sex...with...another...woman!" Ann yelled. She moved at him,
her
hand high in the air as she ran it pass Lance's face, hard. "How can I get
beyond that?"
"I know I deserved that." Lance said holding his face with his hand.
"You deserve so much more, you albino asshole!" Ann pushed him back.
"I saved
myself for you. I was waiting until tonight to give you something precious to
me. And you can stand there, looking straight at me and say..." Ann put her
head in her hands, the tears came hard. Lance wanted to reach out to her,
hold her and try to take away the pain that he was causing. Ann was the first
woman he loved. Just the thought of not being able to see her, tore his heart
in pieces. A one night of sex was not worth seeing the anger and hatred in
Ann's face. Lance didn't want to tell her but Tonya insisted. After getting
the wrath from Tonya, Lance just wanted to forget the whole incident. It
meant nothing to him, another reason why Tonya slapped the hell out of him.
"I was drunk, Ann." Lance said in his defense.
"And that makes it better?" Ann said finally looking at him.
"The girl meant nothing to me." Lance pleaded.
"Then I feel sorry for the girl." Ann could take no more. She pulled
her arm
back and brought it above her head. But she stopped. She looked at him with
different eyes. She saw him in a different light. Not only was the trust gone
but also was the love.
"Ann, I leave tomorrow for our tour. We can use that time apart to work
this
out. As I said, to get beyond this." Lance took her hand, Ann not refusing.
"I do love you. You have to believe me." Lance dropped her hand and
walked
past her. Ann didn't say a word, she was speechless.
"I know you Ann. I know you love me and I know that you will find it in
your
heart to forgive me." Lance opened the door and stepped out into the night
air. "I do love you." Lance shut the door, the slam going through
Ann's soul.
Ann stood frozen; her whole body was about to break. She was sick to her
stomach, her eyes filled with tears.
"You don't know me, Lance. I was going to give you something special but
instead you took everything away from me." Ann sat down on the couch buried
her head in the pillow and cried, cried until no more tears would come.
***Flashback***
Mark Barry and Kristina; Four months earlier
Kristina lay on the lounger, taking in the sun of Mexico. She needed a break
from work and life. Her internship with MTV was almost over; her relationship
with Devin was coming to an end. She knew that going home to Orlando meant
that she would have to deal with Devin's affairs and finding a job. She had
hoped that MTV would have hired her but her refusal to sleep with Carson Daly
ended that. Kristina closed her eyes, wishing she could find the happiness
that Megan and Tonya had in their men. She was envy in Tonya planning her
wedding. God, it was going to be so awkward to see Devin at the wedding but
Brad had to include his band mates.
"Excuse me?" Said a deep British accent man. Kristina opened her eyes
to find
the most gorgeous man smiling at her. "You may want to apply some lotion to
your skin." He said smiling.
"Um...thanks." Kristina sat up grabbing the bottle of lotion.
"I would help you but..." He stopped looking at her. "Kristina?
From MTV?"
"Yes. I interviewed you guys..."
"I remember. Mark Barry." He said reaching his hand out to her.
"I know. I just said I interviewed you guys when "Back Here" came
out."
Kristina smiled, Mark getting lost in the smile. The two spent the afternoon
together, finding themselves at dinner talking about everything and then to
the clubs.
One Margarita led to another, one song led to another as Kristina and Mark
enjoyed the night.
"Oh my God! I love this song!" Kristina yelled jumping up and running
to the
dance floor. The "Thong Song" blasted as the girls in the club got
carried
away, pulling off their underwear and throwing it around the room. Maybe it
was the Margarita's or the thrill of finally letting go but Kristina found
herself joining the girls. Mark watched in awe and excitement, he loved the
unbriddleness of Kristina.
The two found themselves back at Kristina's room, Mark being the gentleman,
simply tended to Kristina as she laid passed out on the bed. It was the start
of Mark and Kristina. To wake up clothed, Mark asleep on the chair and her
underwear placed next to her was the moment that she fell for the British
star of BBMak. Mark proved himself, proved his intentions and won Kristina's
heart. She found the happiness that she longed for, if it only lasted.
***Flashback***
Dan and Erica; Three months earlier
Erica lie down on her bed in the hotel and spread her hair out on the pillow.
It was had been a long and trying day at the studio, the guys were excited
about recording their first CD but even more excited about seeing the sights
of Berlin. The news of Tonya leaving Trans Con for three months came to a
shock to Erica but the meaning behind her leaving was even more surprising.
The workload was dumped on Erica as she head up the trip to Germany. Sure,
she was stressed but she had Dan there and she was a strong person...or so
she thought. She closed her eyes, missing Bryan and waiting for his call. She
was almost in dreamland when she heard a soft knock on the door.
"Sorry to disturb you." Dan said smiling.
"I thought you guys were going sight-seeing?" Erica asked moving aside
to let
him enter.
"They went but I didn't want to go." Dan stood facing Erica. She was
wearing
a pair of red boy cut shorts and a matching cotton camisole the same color as
her toe nail polish. She had thrown a short little white, lightweight terry
cloth robe over her pj's and had left her slippers by the bed Erica preferred
to be barefoot. Dan shifted in his stance, his eyes fixed on the beauty.
"Would you like something to drink?" Erica asked walking over to the
wet bar.
Dan's eyes never left Erica's body. Usually Dan was able to contain himself,
he knew how it upset Erica to not be admired for her brain. But in the light
of the room, Dan could not help himself. The fabric hugged every curve of her
body and Dan loved the fact that she had curves. He moved his eyes from her
shoulders, down her back, past her butt. He admired her long legs, even the
small bruise on her calf from when Trevor hit her with his suitcase. Dan
loved her body but her mind is what made her irresistible.
The two sat down on the couch, talking just like they had done the whole
week. Time with Dan took the loneliness away for Erica but it also gave her
thoughts about the status of her relationship with Bryan.
"Erica, I need to tell you something." Dan finally said, getting the
nerve.
"What?" Erica took a sip of her wine, brought her legs underneath her
and
looked at Dan.
"You are so beautiful." Dan said. "I hope that wasn't too
much?"
"No, um...thank you." Erica said. Dan smiled at her, the smile going
through
Erica.
"I have really enjoyed this week with you." Dan continued, never
losing eye
contact.
"Same here. It's been hell for me with Tonya gone but you have made it
bearable for me." Erica gently put her hand on his leg.
"I'm afraid to go back." Dan took her hand and held it.
"Why?" Erica asked.
"Because I don't want to lose this." Dan squeezed his hand.
"Erica, I can't
hold it in any longer but you have to promise that whatever I said tonight
won't affect our friendship or our working relationship."
Erica nodded. Dan lowered his eyes for a moment and slowly raised them to
meet her deep green eyes. "Erica, I have developed very deep feelings for
you
in the time that we have spent together. You are like no other woman."
Erica
began to pull her hand away. "But I know that you have a boyfriend."
"Dan, I can't..."
"I know and respect that. But I have to say that he is the luckiest guy in
the world. He gets to hold you, kiss you and say the words that I can only
wish and hope to tell you. And what makes him especially lucky is that you
love him. I will never know what it is like to be loved by someone like
you."
"Yes you will." She paused and bit her lip. "Dan, why are you
telling me
this?" She added still holding his hand.
"Because maybe..."
Erica took her hand away from Dan's. She stood up and walked towards the TV.
She stood with her back to him, speechless. What was she supposed to say to
that? She closed her eyes, trying to find the words when she heard the door
slam. Erica opened her eyes to find Dan gone. Her heart skipped a beat; the
words still would not come. She couldn't find the words to tell Dan how she
felt. She didn't know how to tell Dan that she loved him, loved him so much
that she couldn't be with him. Perhaps she was not as strong as she thought.
***Flashback***
J and Kimber; two and half months earlier
Kimber finished her last drink with Tonya. They met for a brief meeting while
Kimber was in London. Actually, she was told by Lou to check up on Tonya and
see how her mental state was. Kimber was also able to catch Tonya up on the
wedding plans. Kevin wanted to move the wedding up to next month because of
scheduling conflicts so they decided to have a small wedding, just the
family.
They said their good-byes and Kimber walked to the elevator of her hotel. She
wasn't tired and didn't want the loneliness of the room. She buttoned up her
coat and walked through the circular door. The air went right through her,
her Florida bones chilled. She found a small Pub, made herself comfortable at
a table and began ordering drinks. A very tough looking gorgeous man with a
piercing through his eyebrow made eye contact with Kimber. She smiled and the
alcohol in her system made her wink. The wink gave him approval to join her
as he glided over to her.
"Hello." The British accent man said, his blue eyes shining through
his
smile. Even in his rough exterior, he was still a gentleman. "May I sit
down?"
"Sure, I was starting to get lonely." Kimber said twisting her hair.
She
smiled back, not believing what she was doing. Her huge engagement ring
sparkled in the light as the man spied it.
"Is your husband going to be joining us?" He asked, looking at her
intensely.
"He is in the states." Kimber said shyly. "But we aren't
married."
"I see." He signaled the bartender, pointed to the empty glasses and
moved
closer to Kimber. No names were exchanged but they each got lost in the
conversation. The man said everything that Kimber needed to hear and gave her
the attention that she starved. Kevin had been so busy with his career that
at times, Kimber felt left out.
Against her better judgment, she found herself at his place. He was charming,
good looking and as the night went on, he filled the gaps. Kimber was the
first to kiss him, her lips burned on his. He moved his hand on her body,
Kimber easing in the touch. She pulled off his shirt, kissing his chest. Her
mind was free of anything holding her back, her hands going places she
desired. He ran his hands up her arms to her chest, unbuttoning her blouse as
they kissed. He quickly unfastened her bra, enjoying her sweet skin. She
moved into him, pushing him hard down on the bed. She straddled him, pulling
his pants off. Kimber took total control of the situation for the first time.
She moved fast and hard, trying to forget any hurt or pain she had with
Kevin. They rolled in their nakedness as the night gave into passion, Kimber
released everything emotion she had.
The sun shown through the curtains, Kimber got out of the bed, the man
sleeping next to her. She got dressed, grabbed her jacket and purse and made
her way to the door. She wasn't ashamed of her actions. Sure it was an
one-night stand but for the first time, she felt alive. She stopped at his
kitchen table, spying the picture. Kimber recognized it as a promo picture
for a concert. She walked over to the table, picked it up and read it. Her
heart jumped out her chest, her hands shaking in the sight.
"Shit." Kimber quietly said. "Anyone but him." She threw the
picture on the
table and left the apartment, left the apartment of J Brown...J Brown of Five.
