Tides of Life

One day the calmness of the water
will be as tranquil as a late summer sunset
with palm trees swaying in the distance,
as calming as those green eyes are said to be.

The next day the waters  may have the roar of a lion
the waves crashing hard onto the shore
sand eroding away
as harsh as that ice blue stare.

As if mirroring any one of our lives.
One day calm and serene, the next raging mad.
Both with unbelievable beauty.

If you appreciate the essence of the change,
accept them for what they are,
a part of nature
the tides of life will not erode the person who is you.
