Reflections

When someone hurts a friend,
do you turn around and just pretend,
that she's not hurting to the end.

If you know both links of the chain,
are you really able to maintain,
that link without causing pain.

Remember to stand behind your heart,
underwriting another's hurtful part
will not do your soul smart.

For living with yourself should be a priority
your actions are your own authority
loyalty and trust should be a majority.

Look around at those you hold dear,
similiar to you, the reflection is clear.
In a mirror you'll need to peer.

Living with who you are, year after year.
