For giving me first of all life
He gave me a wonderful man to love
And he blessed us, husband and wife
I also thank Him for all the years
That He has watched over me
Been by my side, through the good and the bad
God watched over me tenderly
I also thank God for the happiness
That I have known over the years
And for the assurance that He was always nearby
And knowing for certain He always cares
But most of all I thank God
For Jesus His wonderful son
A gift of love, sent to earth
To die for the sins of everyone
