Education
According to Blessed James Alberione, �A man is educated when he has accustomed himself to using freedom well.� Education in general should shape our mind, will and heart in the right direction. It helps as to grow in sensitivity. Being sensitive to things and persons does not come from books or intelligence but from freedom. Hence, one must cultivate freedom to understand the sounds of silence, the lessons from nature, the cries of the poor and the agony of the oppressed.
Our present educational system may produce a great society where there is no poverty. But this great society need not bring order within oneself. Therefore, true education should aim not only to mould a person for life but also for living�living a life of freedom. Thus the very purpose of education should be to shape every child to live as a child, an adolescent as an adolescent and the youth of today as the youth of today.
