Ø If you would not be forgotten as soon as you

The Fate of Columbia

From a country ready for wars

The Columbia was launched to fly past

With seven members as its crew

Who directly flew Right into space

At a very swift pace

Across the troposphere

Past the atmosphere

It was too late For they knew not their fate

In their journey to learn the unknown

To bring fame and renown

Dived to the earth below

It was indeed a fatal blow

Yet not forgotten remain the seven

To be praised they be in heaven. —G. Sarah Knight

The Song in Your Life

Don’t let the song go out of your life,

Though it may chance sometimes to flow

In a minor strain, it will blend again

In a major tone, you know.

There is never a pain that hides not some gain;

And never a measure of rue

So bitter to sup but that in the cup

Lurks a measure of sweetness too.

Then do not despond and say that the fond,

Sweet song of your life has flown;

For if ever you know of a song that was true,

It’s music is still your own.
