Attainment

 

 

There was a princess in Greece

Famous for her gems and jewels.

She was looking for a mate.

Hence, one day she did state

One who can catch me

Will be my hubby.

As she began to run

Everyone under the sun followed her

And as she ran, jewels fell

No need to tell

Everyone began to accumulate

Felt as she ran at a slower rate

She can wait.

But first let not opportunity evaporate

Opportunity of amassing possessions.

The princess cried in desperation

Alas, if only you had realized

By getting me you would have got all possessions.

Hence, said the sage,

Let your greed

Not exceed your need

Wait not for old age

Waste no time

To surrender to God, chant his name divine.

We say, its too early for all this

Lets enjoy, accumulate, make life bliss

Happiness lies

Not in materialistic things

But God, if you attain him,

You attain everything.
