Prayer of Trust

Lord, let me not be guilty
of the arrogance to be
Anxious as to what tomorrow
Has in store for me,
In vain conceit believing
That I, and I alone,
Must find the hidden answers
To that vast and dim unknown.

I will, instead, be trusting
As a child; will put my hand
With simple, childlike faith in Thine,
Not try to understand,
But trusting in Thy loving care
I will enter each new day
In humble gratefulness to Thee
For showing me the way.
