SUMMARY: While on vacation in Egypt, Poirot encounters the striking heiress Linnet Ridgeway, who has recently married a penniless young man named Simon Doyle. Poirot discovers that Linnet stole Simon from his fiance Jacqueline De Bellefort. Jacqueline is not taking this lying down, and has been stalking Linnet and Simon throughout their travels. Things come to a climax onboard the cruise ship Karnak, where Linnet is shot in the head. But, interestingly enough, Jacqueline could not possibly have done it.....
