SUMMARY: Amy Leatheran has been hired by archaeologist Dr. Eric Leidner as a confidential nurse to his wife Louise during an expedition in Iraq. Amy is intrigued by Louise's stories of threatening letters from her dead first husband and an ominous face appearing at her bedroom window at night. Everyone attributes these stories to a disturbed imagination. But then Louise is discovered dead from a blow to the head. When the initial investigation fails, the police turns to Hercule Poirot, who happens to be on vacation in the area.
