SUMMARY: The eldery, unpleasant millionaire Simeon Lee has planned to have some spiteful fun with his sons and daughters-in-law during a Christmas family reunion. But his perverted amusement is cut short when his throat is slashed in the middle of the night. Hercule Poirot, who is spending the holiday with Chief Constable Johnson, is called in to assist in the investigation. When he arrives at Gorston Hall, he finds an atmosphere not of mourning, but of mutual suspicion.....
