SUMMARY: While on vacation in the Holy Land of Israel, Poirot overhears the words "You see, don't you, that she's got to be killed?" These ominous words come back to him when the elderly Mrs. Boynton is found dead from an injection with a hypodermic needle. But in this case, the sympathy is with the killer, as Mrs. Boynton terrorized her children and repulsed every stranger she crossed paths with. But Poirot is on the side of the law, and must figure out which of the Boynton clan was desperate enough to kill.
