Clue 5- Pumpkin Blocks
Fabric:  A, C, J
Cut Fabric A -
20 - 1 1/2" squares
10 - 1 1/2" x 2 3/4" rectangles
3   - 1 1/2" x 5 1/2" rectangles
3   - 2 1/2" x 5 1/2" rectangles

Cut Fabric C -
5 - 1 1/2" x 1 rectangle
1 - 1 1/2" x 5 1/2"  NOTE : It is very important that you have lots of this fabric.  You will need it for the next clue.

Cut Fabric J -
2 - 3 1/2" x 5 1/2" rectangle
3 - 4 1/2" x 5 1/2" rectangle

1.  We will be using the corner to corner sewing method for these steps.  Get out the two 3 1/2" x 5 1/2" fabric J.  Sew four 1 1/2" fabric A squares to the four corners of each.  Trim and press.  Make 2.
2.  Get out the three 4 1/2" x 5 1/2" fabric J.  Sew four 1 1/2" fabric A squares to the four corners of each.  Trim and press.  Make 3. Pictures same as Step #1
3.  Get out the five 1 1/2" x 1 fabric C.  Sew a 1 1/2" x 2 3/4 fabric A to each side.  Trim and press.  Make 5.
4.  Get out the two smaller pumpkins made in Step 1.  Sew a unit made in Step 3 to both your Step 1 blocks.  Then get out the 1 1/2" x 5 1/2" fabric A and sew it to the top.  You have two pumpkin blocks.  Trim and press.
5.  Get out the three larger pumpkin blocks made in Step 2.  Sew the three remaining Step 3 units to finish the block.  You now have three pumpkin blocks.
