Clue 4- Maple Leaf Block
Fabric:  B, D, E
You need to make 4 blocks, each a different color.  The instructions given are for one block only.  Repeat four times
CUT
Fabric B:  cut from one fabric
                cut two 2 1/2" squares
                cut one 2 1/2" x 6 1/2" rectangle
                cut one 2 1/2" x 4 1/2" rectangle
Fabric D:  cut from one fabric
                 cut five 2 1/2" squares
                 cut two 2 1/4" squares
Fabric E:  cut one 2 1/2" square

1. Get out one 2 1/2" Fabric D square and one 2 1/2" Fabric B square.  Sew corner to corner making a half square triangle.  Make 2.
2. Sew these two half square triangles together as shown
3.  Sew one 2 1/2" Fabric D square to the left of the unit made in step 2. 
4.  Get out the 2 1/2" Fabric D square and the 2 1/2" x 6 1/2" Fabric B rectangle.  Place the Fabric B right side up and put the Fabric D square in corner, right sides together.  Sew corner to corner on Fabric D.  Trim and press
5.  Do the same technique as step 4.  This time use one 2 1/2" Fabric D square and one 2 1/2" x 4 1/2" Fabric B rectangle.
